Ok, educate me, what is it motivated by. What other reason could he have to stay and risk finishing his career in reserve grade?

Vindictiveness
Competitiveness
Legacy building

Canning the club in the media doesn't sit comfortably with loyalty for mine.

But canning players and the club on a public forum is loyal behaviour on behalf of a supporter? If he shouldn't be discussing the problems with the club due to loyalty, then neither should you. He has a major larger right than you do to discuss the problems at the club.

If you don't get the difference you probably won't understand the explanation.

No I get it fully, Nelson and anyone else here has every right to be critical of the club or players, I don't have a problem with that. I do however find it hypercritical of a supporter to say that a player can not discuss the problems they see in the club when in the exacts same post they are criticizing the player for being disloyal for doing the same thing. If it is disloyal for a club captain, premiership winner to criticize then it's disloyal for supporter to do same. And this I pay money, he gets paid argument is just crap. Robbie has earnt the right to discuss this club's future and to defend himself.

Surely people understand that no matter what happens, Robbie still gets every cent of him money. The motivation here is not to save a dollar but rather to free up some cash to sign and re-sign other players whilst another club contributes toward Farah's wage.

But many care about Robbie and the Club. We lose about $450K-$600K by moving him on, and we get someone else on about $350K-$450K to replace him - and that player could well be under Farah's standard or no better. It only creates bad will for the club amongst other players and amongst many fans.

Sometime you gotta put medicine on a puss filled sore to make it better…. It no nice and it hurts but in the end is all good

Well the players are showing no signs of bad will. They havnt missed a beat.
And this will be our first home game since the boning. The size of the crowd will reflect if the fans have been turned off or not.

The size of the crowd will show support for our club in charging for the top 8 to suggest anything else is pushing an agenda.

Thats my point. Farahs axing hasn't turned supporters off the club as some are suggesting.

I think we would have to wait for next year's membership renewal to correctly estimate that. If the season goes well enough well they may get away with it but if the opposite then the opposite could occur when renewal time comes.

Yeh… You don't get it
He can discuss problems..... that's a fine working relationship .. You do it in house.
You DON'T get your manager and his colleague to smear the club with mud in the media

That's your assumption that he has done that. So a coach is allowed to state publically that he is un-cohesive for the team but he has to discuss it in-house?

No player has the right to criticise the coach, player or club to the media. That's what being in a team is all about.
Farah doesn't get it, nor do some fans.

You said BBF. Membership will go up if we're winning and likely go down if we're losing. Nothing to do with farah.

Yep. Coach is the senior figure.

The difference between player and supporter is a supporter is not a paid employee of the club. We don't have to work with those we criticise that potentially harm team morale.

You like any of us in this situation have no idea what has occurred to get the player and the club to this point, you have no idea of the inner workings. It is time for Robbie to move on, this is has played out in the media terribly for all 3 parties involved. But to say he as no right to speak publically and then do the same thing is hypercritical, I don't care who is paid. Loyalty is not about being paid, it is defined as strong support or allegiance, if Robbie is being disloyal then so are the people criticising the club, it really is that simple.

But Farah supporters could blame their heroes absence for their team having less chance of winning and take their unhappiness out on the Club.

Look I'm not trying to tell you how you should see the situation, I'm just telling you that others look at the same body of information and see things differently. That's life.

I don't think I'm being hypocritical. I'm commenting on a small distribution forum of club supporters who will likely have their own dyed in the wool views. I'm not an employee of the club. It's not the same as commenting to mainstream media as an employee & you strike me as too smart to think otherwise.

I'm sure some would. I can't see a massive change in membership numbers though. Or sponsorship for that matter.

I 100% agree that Robbie has said things that he shouldn't have.

That Tiger Torch guy/gal stated that Farah had the support of one TPA sponsor, presumably Sir Harry. It was Sir Harry who tried to negotiate a peaceful conclusion about a 10 months ago.

What really annoys me most about Farah is the fact that Knights would move on Potter to get him.

Potter is deserving of an employment, the fact that he would try and get someone sacked extinguishes any bit of sympathy i have for the bloke. He has gotten two coaches sacked and is about to get Potter sacked again. He is trying to get Taylor sacked.

He is a nuisance, Potter was a good coach and if we didn't have such a cruel injury run under the man we would have made the top 8\. Sheens made the top 8 in 2010 and 2011, he also won a premiership in 2005\. One win off the 8 in 2012.

I don't know whats with the bloke but getting people unemployed because he doesn't like them is disgusting.

PS. I'm a fence sitter in this situation, i have defended both parties.

Thats a big presumption. You could be right.

This is a pretty sad situation isn't it. I don't believe Robbie is that bad but anyone who is deserves the same thing to happen to them.

I'm assuming though that the person copping it is earning < $100k per year.

Of course it hasn't. It's the same as players being impacted by it. The fans may be upset by it. The players mightn't like it. The players and fans though will continue to support the Tigers.

It's like when a big CEO leaves a company. It makes no difference.

You should have a look at some of the facebook posts over the last 3 weeks with some "supporters" attention seeking posts of "I've been a supporter for blah blah blah and now I'm leaving posts"….......whether they actually follow through with that who knows, but certainly there are some "supporters" saying they are leaving. Some posters saying they weren't going to attend the games etc as well.

Even now, after yesterday's great win, there are still people whinging about Robbie.
