Ellis and Blair

So excited about having these guys on both edges. Can't recall ever having such quality 2nd rowers at the Tigers. Both can fill in at prop, can play 80 minutes and can offload (i expect to see this alot more from Ellis). Their defence in forst class too.

With Benji and Moltzen probably playing more like 2 five-eights, one each side of the ruck, combined with their speed and quick long balls and each having a class second rower to opt for the Tigers attack should be much more balanced (not left side dominant) and very hard for the oppositions defense.

Interesting to see see Ellis switch to the right to allow Blair on the left. I tend to think Ellis will go better on the right for some reason. I think he only shifted to the left when Dwyer came into first grade.

What side did Blair occupy mostly down Melbourne?

I remember Blair scoring a try in the 2009 Grand final hitting the right edge or offloading to slater after a break on the right to score, witherway always thought he was a right side player and Ellis played well on the Left but will trust sheens on this one.

Our forward pack will be 1st class in 2012, no doubt about it.

If the injury gods are kind, we will be very hard to stop.

the other good thing is that liam fulton can cover for both of them if they get injured and still remain lethal.

Fults seemed to be playing a lot @ number 9 in the Parra Trial.

As for the Tigers 2nd rowers, There are no Better 2 in the Game.

I'm absolutely pumped to see these two blokes in action. To have arguably both the best back rowers in the game at the one club is unreal. Not just their playing potential but their professionalism and leadership will be a huge factor in our season. The likes of Woods, Groat, BMM will learn so much from these guys.
