Email from Tigers supporter

It's funny how you see guys who have been here for less time, showing more respect for the club. Like how Chee-Kam talked about the club when he re-signed.

Are all those emails actually from Pascoe or are they written by someone else on Pascoe's behalf? That's how it usually works.

Usually only sent by someone else on their behalf. I think he'd probably write most if not all of the response if you receive one. Some CEOs will just respond themselves as normal through their own email address. Pascoe might be one of them by the sounds of it.

There was no media talk or anywhere on contract negotiations before JT got the arse.
It was a club edict.
When he got the arse it seems the edict went with him
Shame

Good email

Its funny, 37 years ago Wests lost almost half their team in one hit…that was painful but it was like ripping off a bandaid in one second....this is like a full body way over days and weeks

Thats because we were never privy to what was happening then and or rumours, through social media. Now we are at the point of predicting what a man is thinking through his body language.
I cant believe how people have turned on Woods its like a feeding frenzy and anything good he has done for the club is being ignored because some dont like his indecision and the manner in which he is portraying it.
If he does stay some are really going to get over it but based on some of the comments not sure they will. Once you start attacking the character of a man a signature doesnt change that.

If you try and defend Woods, you're fighting a losing battle. He's had an offer, that is overs for his ability, on the table from this club for a long time now. He is just using the Bulldogs now to squeeze more out. Whether he stays or goes is irrelevant to me at this point. If he had taken the overs that was offered to him along time ago and got on with business, I'd be praising him now, instead, he's acting like a grub and dragging this whole situation out for more money that he doesnt deserve. If he stays, the respectable thing he needs to do is hand back the captaincy. He is no captain, he's a grub. I've lost a lot of respect for him for the way he's handled himself. If I were Pascoe, I'd be pulling the offer from the table.

Why? How do you know what he has been offered and if they have any intention of upping it? My understanding is Cleary made the call on what was being offered and that still stands. If you are privy to further information I stand corrected
He is entitled to consider offers from other clubs all players do. Our offer to Widdop has forced St George to up their offer does that make him a grub.?
And why does Teddy escape -;is he chasing more money, better team more stability ? How is his reluctance to sign make him any less of a "grub"(your words) than Woods?
I get why everyone wants it done but it seems that the frustration in waiting is turning into an unreasonable hate campaign directed at Woods.
Plenty agree with you -, losing battle or not I will continue to defend his right to look after his own best interests just like all do when their contract renewal comes up.

Tedesco is not the captain, therefore does not have to be a spokesperson for the club :brick:

Grant spoke the other day and it was great. Our juniors come across as spoilt brats.

Plus Tedesco is worth every cent thrown at him, Woods is not. Woods is not the best prop in the game. Woods is not a match winner.

The main problem I and many others have with woods is he is supposed to be our captian. Surely even if its a bald faced lie he should
still be saying to the public that he wants to stay at the tigers and trying to convince the other boys to stay put aswell.

The criticism around woods is too harsh. Sure we would like him to show some leadership and stay but that is purely for selfish reasons. You have to understand is he is recently married, about to sign the most important contract of his life, he has been through the wringer with the club over the last 4yrs…..he is a young bloke clearly struggling with his role ATM.

struggling deciding wether to accept 700k or a mill?

Mate hes not moving. His attitude has been disgusting.I judge him on the captaincy not the player.. Give Elijah Taylor the captaincy. He leads by example 😒

I have a problem with a world in which so many of it's inhabitants worry only for themselves at the expense of others, and particularly those that are are in leadership positions.

Talk about remembering like it was when a kid and enjoying it, well look around the dressing room, just a different bunch of kids that have grown up and are part of your team. Want all you can get, well go and play golf.

Yeah I understand what you are saying but money's not the issue. For whatever reasons The club obviously has not been a great working environment for a few years and he's
Deciding whether he wants to be here for the remainder of his career effectively. I understand that he wants to see what his other options are….

Him going to another club is not this issue.

Him being the captain and commentating on moses and Tedesco with such lines as ' He has to think about his future' and ' good on him for testing his worth'..is unacceptable!! He should be saying he is doing everything to convince thrm to stay, that he loves this club and wants to bring this team to the top.. Captains do not talk up other teams or encourage players to leave!! ?????

Yeah he is struggling but he needs more support. He's not an experienced leader like James graham….plus I hear captains saying that all the time good luck to the player if they leave, it's their decision and they have to do what's best for them

Just as we want to still have some options left by the time he makes a decision. Spoke to the new coach and confirmed offer nearly two weeks ago, having had an offer on the table for the best part of five months when under another coach, so lack of time is not much of an issue for me.

It is not as if he is a fringe player that has no idea about facilities available to others, so If he has not formed an opinion on wether or not he wants to stay at WT in the last few of more years, then when the hell will he.

Woods needs a reality check. By talking in the media it is these guys which have destabilised the club. Woods, teddy,Brooke's and Moses are paid the big bickies and have failed to take us to the semis . They need to blame themselves .

When Kent asked him "have you tried to convince Moses to see the year out" and he said "no I haven't" that proved that he is a poor leader who doesn't have the Clubs interest at heart. I feel we need him to leave so we can progress as a Club.

I've never had a full body wax, or waxing of any kind for that matter, can you elaborate on what its like?

Look at other players from other clubs like Widdop, Bird, Foran, McQueen, they all are/were off contract, but none played it out in the media like our players. They're still giving it their all for their current clubs. Because we invest in our juniors, our guys have been given everything from an early age. In Moses case, we punted 2 other players to keep him, he had a rails run. Now it's gone to his head and he believes he's more important than he really is. I will exclude Brooks, but the others have shown a real lack of maturity during negotiations. I'd have thought Tedesco would have learned after last time but I guess not. I think solely investing in juniors can breed contempt and arrogance among the players, because they know they are the chosen ones. After this the club needs to scrap this juniors mantra crap and start entering the player market more often. Then maybe we'll have players in the side who are somewhat professional and may even bring us a little success.
