@ said:ET has mostly been used as a tackling machine this year. He's been very good at it, however other players at our club could play this role (Edwards, Lawrence ect). If he does go.
@ said:Massive loss for sure. The bloke is Captain material and a true Professional pity Woods didn't learn a thing or 2 from him.
On the grounds of his daughters health would grant him an immediate release if that's what is important to him and his family we shouldn't play hard ball and demand a player swap in this instance.
All the best ET family comes 1st

Wish him the best regardless of where he goes.
Oh well, at least we've got a handy replacement in Eastwood lol
Can't see Eastwood making 62 tackles in a game though! Lol.
IMO one player making 62 tackles anf having no effect offensively is detriment to the team. I dont look at stats, but do the Storm or Roosters have a player that makes 50+ tackles every week? Dragons and Sharks dont. Point im making is you dont need one player to do the defense, its much more effective when the pack works together sharing the load, and thats what we need to do next year.
On ET possibly leaving, it would be a shame to lose someone of his character to the club.
Yeah I feel for ET, he is shouldering an unsustainable workload in Defence, and his attack is suffering as a result.. the rest of the forwards need to aim up.!…I hope he is not leaving just to get outta here.

@ said:Again, the Lurker is one of the least reliable sources out there.
However, I had previously asked why ET hadn't yet taken his option or signed a new contract with the club. People talk of his strong relationship with Pascoe and Cleary.
Maybe his wife is finding it difficult to manage his daughter's illness while he has training and travelling for matches. If his parents are still in NZ (which is likely) i don't think the club would stand in his way whatsoever for next season. This season would be far more doubtful, he would be a massive loss and we would need a player in return, even though it's compassionate grounds. Would be a hard one.
Still it is just the lurker though who has a strike rate of 1%
