Actually, 2 and 3 is really poor.
Saints
Sharks
Titans
all bottom feeders…
Knights and Raiders only two difficult games.

I get where you are coming from but there also needs to be some realism applied here.

A formline of 3W 2L, held for the season, will comfortably play finals football. We just have to stay over 50% wins. The Titans loss was by a very very slight margin and single bounce of the ball, so we are looking honestly at 1 bad loss, 1 "ok" loss, 1 close win, 1 fairly comfortable win, 1 very close freak loss. That's probably about right for where Tigers are as a team.

You would not have realistically tipped Tigers to beat Raiders, and it turns out Knights are a form side as well, so that's 2 losses against Top-4 sides. The only team to have beaten the Raiders so far is Knights, and the only team to beat Knights is currently 3rd, so there is consistent form of those top sides being a cut about everyone else right now.

You would also have tipped us to beat Dragons and hoped we'd beat Sharks, so really the only dropped game from a punting point of view was Titans. We need to convert more Titans-type clashes into wins, which remains to be seen if we do that, but that's the key. We are going to drop some of those "winnable" matches, it's inevitable.

Agree with all that, but I think the last 6 rounds may be hard to pick up any wins / very hard to go 3-3.

The last four games we could play well like we did v Raiders and lose all four.

I just feel like we are a club who can't drop Titans type games. We don't have the class to go on a winning run later to make it up.

Madge needs more time to shift the culture and start to see the fruits from the junior pathways. I think our squad currently is one of the worst in the last 10 years without any real game breakers, but this new style will lead us to success.

and how many other coaches have had the resolute backing of robbie?

Let's just hope Madge is patient. The last thing we is another coaching change and hence another culture change.

We desperately need a reliable goalkicker. Missing the conversion which was pretty much a gimmee for most teams meant we had to go for a penalty goal to get back within 6 when we should have been attacking to level the game up

I think this week was a completely different team mindset than last week, and the improvement is something to be positive about.....definitely a good step forward....

On current form agree loss to Titans may cost us making the 8 again.

Cowboys - Win
Bulldogs - Win
Panthers - Loss
Rabbits - Loss
Broncos - Win
So after 10 Rounds we should be around the 8 if this occurs?

Eels - Loss
Warriors - Win
Knights - Loss
Bulldogs - Win
Roosters - Loss
Panthers - Win
Eagles - Loss
Rabbits - Win
Storm - Loss
Eels - Loss
That's 4 wins at the back on the season and that being optimist in reality we need 5 or 6 at least.
On a positive note our for and against is not too bad so far this season.

Current Top 8, in no real order,

Eels
Raiders
Storm
Eagles
Roosters
That then leaves 3 teams
Knights
Panthers
Cowboys
Rabbits
Tigers

Don't think the broncos will make it this year, too many injuries and have the local derby against the cowboys last round.

Agree we need to go on a run of wins instead of Win one week and lose the next based upon 2 losses should see a win this week otherwise season will start slipping away again.

Not realistic. We will drop Titan's-type games, same as we will beat Top 8 sides.

Sorry but too many years of missing the finals has not only me but a lot of fans lacking patience.

Well if you want to be a Tigers supporter, you need to train yourself to be more patient.

I’m pleased we are able to keep 9th position on the ladder. Quite an achievement considering there are 6 teams on equal points.

The cream has risen to the top after five rounds, the gap in class widening the longer the competition goes on. Some teams down the bottom just haven't got the depth and consistency to challenge for the finals. I feel like they'll be changing between positions 10 and 16 for the rest of the year.

8. Wests Tigers (9)
I've put the Tigers up a spot despite losing to Canberra. If they can bottle the effort, enthusiasm and excitement from that game, they can give it a good shake. The biggest question is whether they have enough points in them. Luke Brooks needs to step up in clutch moments if Benji Marshall's not going to be there.

common tigers!! the 90's was a mess. The early 2000s was a mess not until 2005 and since then i've been very patient!! :cold_sweat: 😢 :disappointed_relieved: :disappointed: :disappointed: :face_with_thermometer:

As The title suggests , we need to chill . We are 2-3 , haven’t played remotely like we are anywhere near our best form , and have the dogs and boys up next.
In years gone , especially 2 years ago , it looked like we were peaking this early . It didn’t look like we had another gear or 2. This year , it looks like we can’t play footy and we are 2-3.
That’s all ! Just trying to keep everything in perspective

Actually, 2 and 3 is really poor.

Saints
Sharks
Titans

all bottom feeders...

Knights and Raiders only two difficult games.

If you look at our last month, we have a brutal run home.

Cows and Dogs, even this early, are basically must win games.

For perspective...here is our last six games. Compare this to our first six.
RORTERS
PANTHERS
MANLY
SOUTHS
STORM
PARRA

Exactly mate, the titans loss was totally unacceptable, and will probably cost us a top 8 shot with our horror run home.

Obviously not patient enough.

You missed your shot of patience when you joined apparently. Can't be a tigers supporter without it.

Some people are definitely over reacting. We improved and lost a close one to the premiership favourites. If we play like that for the rest of the season we will do good. Obviously we could’ve been better but plenty of positives as well. We just need some star players

Not bagging your post at all Josh because what you say is true, but it is also the exact same sentiment that has been echoed about our mob for countless years now. I’m sure I could find posts of a similar vein written every year for the last 10 years on here if I could be bothered to look.

We play like crap and lose to a team we should realistically beat comfortably, then we improve out of sight to go down narrowly to one of the premiership favourites, we repeat this pattern throughout the season and end up finishing just out of the 8 lamenting those losses to the teams we should’ve beaten easily ...AND...we still just need one or two star players that could make all the difference!

Honestly it’s just ground hog day again and again and again - when will it ever change?

A prerequisite to be a Wests Tigers supporter is to have your Cardiologist phone number on speed dial.

You’re right, it’s been said many times and we are yet to follow through with it but that doesn’t mean you give up.

It’s been the same issues for a while and we haven’t been able to fix them but like I said if we play with that energy and enthusiasm we should do fine - up to the players and coach to do that though. I don’t know when it will be fixed but madhe knows the issues and they’ll try their best. For our sakes I hope it works.
