I may have missed something he has said but IMO Blocker hasn't kicked the WT club just out of spite or for the sake of it, he has just told it how it is in regards to WT being a shambles of a club. Which is truth in all fairness.
 
Wests have a few. Tommy, Langmack, Boyd, Kelly etc. I couldn't care less about their opinoons though. I don't know what it is about these former Balmain guys but they are hungry for the spotlight. Grand final night in 05 they made it about themselves and how it made up for 89\. Over hearing their opinions. Hodgo, Skando, even Prince. Those are guys i want to hear from. Actual club legends.

Totally agree. If we want opinions let them be from ex WT players. Unfortunately the media know they get a response every time they talk to Elias, Blocker, Tommy and co. and unfortunately the aforementioned can't help themselves
 
Prince spent 3 years in the joint and couldn't wait to get to of here back to QLD despite winning a comp. Sirro poured half his life into Balmain and Wests Tigers and loves the club to death. I know they are warts and all these old legends, but I say respect your past greats. Benny is a pain, but Sirro doesn't say much. He has had a shot at Jt and I don't blame him. He bite his tongue when Jt sacked him without even talking to him when he came in in 2014.

He sacked him based on the Brian Smith report.
The board put that together and JT walked in and did the boards work.
Siro's anger is misguided to say the least.

He gave Idris some pretty unnecessary cheap shots during the pre season. He also attacked the board for allowing all these contracts to end at the same time when it was the previous board responsible for that. Blocker's problem is that he's not too bright. He shoots from the hip based off emotion. Guys like Siro and Elias are much more methodical.

Prince can shove his opinion though. Backdoored it out of WT and left us in the lurch bigtime. Respected what he did for WT on the field but off it he was an invertebrate who dogged it on us IMO.

He's looking to be not far off the mark re: Idris though.
He might not be bright but I will say not many played with more pride and passion, we need bucketfulls of those qualities in our club ATM within our current playing group.
 
Benny's opinions on 360 tonight were incoherent, emotion-fuelled garbage.

I was a Balmain fan but am embarrassed by his divisive comments.

He answered no questions and for those who didn't see it, he was borderline idiotic; saying that Moses/Brooks are as good as Cronk/Smith or that the big 4's manager is a good influence for the club.

I'm no PR genius but keep your legacy Benny as Balmain great and stop appearing on tv.
 
The Wests Magpies legacy makes more sense than back-door Benny who rooted and ultimately destroyed Balmain. Blame back-door Benny not Wests for Balmain's death. If WA were arseholes the side would be the Magpies well before now.

Blocker is an idiot & hasnt got the Brains he was born with, As for Benny just a Grub who helped the Balmain side of merger in this position.
 
The single worst thing about our club is the parade of has beens who line up to death ride it at any opportunity. Elias the worst of the lot. When I saw Braith "ex Wests Tiger" Anasta moaning about his unpaid TPA I thought "great, now for another 30 years of this garbage".

I have never heard Pearce bad mouth the club or anyone for that matter, Happy i have no idea why you are including him.Benny in particular needs to shut up as he is counterproductive
 
I think they would have been super pumped about yesterday's decision and could barely contain there excitement about throwing their opinion in…

Benny in particular had a glow about him..

I particularly took note of his comments about Isaac..

Blocker is the first bloke they go to for a quote whenever the place is up the creek. I can't remember the last time he ever said anything positive about WT. I loved the bloke on the field, as I did Benny and Sirro, but they only ever seem to line up to stick the slipper in now. Sirro has a grudge but handle it like an adult FFS.

People work for places of business for decades and get moved on, that's how it is. Professional sports is no different to any other business in that respect. Sirro is my favourite player to ever strap on a boot and I have been fortunate enough to meet and speak with him a couple of times, but I am terribly disappointed in the way he has behaved in regard to this. I find his actions on par with those women who have used the media as a vehicle to get back at footy players in some sort of petty vendetta.

I'm sure their opinions are going to be much like ours and the old old boys, JT is ok or rubbish, some of the players are ok some are rubbish, some of the boards decisions are ok some are rubbish.

Don't need to get worked up cause other than memories none of them have any say in what the club has done or is going to do from here.

Opinions are like bungholes everyone has one. like on the forum, just got to respect them for what they have achieved and then start singing your favourite song in your head when they start ranting.
 
It's totally embarrassing. The tigers had control of the board I. The early days of the Jv and looted the joint. Benny was a rambling mess…..Pascoe and go spoke with very little authority.....no wonder the place is hanging by a thread.
