OFFICIAL Fainu Brothers.

Yeah same. Hopefully given they’re 18 and 19 there is time to work out those brain explosions.
I remember Nathan Brown wanting to take on the whole Raiders NYC side when he was a kid. Most grow out of It. I’m tempted to give him even more of a break considering the jabs towards his family. That could put anyone over the edge, especially at that age.

I like it and he didn't complain about what was said so It must be something to tick him off he has a spine Big Klemmer will help him to control it he's no push over I am guessing it was about his brother
Bennett mustn’t have really wanted them if that’s all it took to withdraw the contract offer… where do these “journos” get off… seriously

I think Bennett wanted them I remember a story when Talis was at the back end of his career and he told Bennett that players don't respect and fear him any more and that he was going to fight the oppositions biggest forward and Bennett Back him to go wack a guy

Braith and Hoops reported its a 2m deal each for 4 years
Why is everyone saying we paid ridiculous amounts? Latu was on 500k already (well advertised richest 1st contract)

I know that’s an average of 2m each for 4 years so he probably got a very modest pay rise of say 50k and his brother is on 450k for two years. Which isn’t insane for an NRL player.

That's 500k per year, To put it in context we were paying average Joe 600k .
They said it averaged out to 4 million. I’m not sure of the breakdown but as Latu was already on a rich contract I’m sure he is getting more than his brother

Still big money for U19s.
The one who got sledged previously had a run in with Wakeham didn’t he, Wakeham went to school with them and stirred the brother up.
Hopefully Wakeham will be gone when they arrive in November otherwise it could a bit heated at training. Just like Bateman /Hastings but Sheens fixed that quick smart by offloading JH.
They’re just gonna have to learn to cop it. I’m also assuming big brother will make to us after he gets out of the slam. That’s probably part of the overall deal.

I'd love WT getting the best Western Sydney players. Particularly SW. That should be the focus.

Crazy good deal to have swapped brooks for fainu.

Well done Tigers.
Yea, I am inclined to think so.

Look we haven't seen them play first grade. Yet... We have seen Brooks play first grade, for 10 years.

At least with Latu Fainu, we won't force a 5/8 to fit into a halfback mould for 10 bloody years while our club struggles.

Didn't the big brother get an eight year sentence, I don't think he has a career in League after he gets out

But he wasn't on that much. He was on a 4 year deal worth less than a million, with performance clauses worth a total of an extra 400k if he met certain targets. He was only 18 months into this contract, he hadn't met any of those targets.
He was on about 150k at manly, moving to 300k next year, unless targets were met

Reactions: Bob
Benji must see a little of himself in these 2 boys so a good sign.

Not exactly on topic but reckon the Roosters have a bigger rebuild needed than us now..

Gone in all key positions.

Wondering if they'll win another game this year.
You think we’ll beat them?
Wish I had your confidence.

Gould deeds

The Fainu family has had a lot to deal with since Manase was jailed for stabbing a man at a church function. In August, a jury found Fainu guilty of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and he was sentenced to eight years in jail with a non-parole period of four years and three months.

However, his younger brothers, Samuela and Latu, showed considerable class in their contract negotiations with Wests Tigers and the Bulldogs.

Canterbury general manager Phil Gould met Samuela and Latu, but went a step further and visited Manase in a western Sydney jail. It made a big impression on the brothers. So much so that when they made their minds up to join the Tigers they told Gould in person at Belmore. They also wrote him a note and gave him a small gift.

It’s not how most players treat a club who they have turned down.

Fainu bros showing their class. But the boys
saw through Gus' fakeness. Suck shit old snake

😂 I was liking your post until the last sentence Kaito.
It would be difficult being locked up knowing the fallout from your actions has impacted your younger brothers. Someone needed to check in on
Manase.
Did Pascoe, or anyone at WT think to?
Sheens said in a recent interview that the club is adopting an holistic approach, but are we?
Are we showing improvement?
We signed Suli at 18 on a reported $1.3 over 4 years, supposedly a record sum for a teenager at the time.
Suli grew to 130kg from his playing weight of 110kg, partly due to training tardiness, in his first offseason and was subsequently released. Went to Bulldogs, another club fighting with themselves att.
Then off to Dragons, who also have an issue with teamwork in the back of house.
Wish we had Suli now, he bent our line with every run, attracting plenty of attention.

Hehe credit to him for thinking of going to 'Nase
I respect it, but his intentions are so transparent..
He speaks with a forked tongue, I don't believe
anything that man says mate! I'm pretty sure
Fulton had maintained a good relationship with
the boys & the family. Big reason why they've
signed. Alas, no articles on how the Dogs missed
out on them, only criticism of us for signing
them. Predictable. Agree with you on Suli 20/40
Always a risk signing youngsters but there is
belief they will come good, as Moses has.
I hope it will be with us & won't take as long lol
