Yep corporates only. I really don’t know the answer but gee I’d like to feel as valued as a corporate. I’ve been giving my money to the club for years. Yet apart from a squashy seat I don’t feel part of the club at all . Now the corporates get to drink Crownies at the game next week while the people that truly love the club are sent emails asking us to pledge money. I’m whinging I know but it really burns me up to be honest.

I once absolutely cracked it at the club when on the Friday before our 1st home game for the season they posted a story on the club webpage about how Allied Express had delivered all the corporate tickets to their sponsors to ensure they had them for the 1st game of the season. Meanwhile a heap of supporters, including myself, had still yet to receive their season tickets that were ordered 6 months earlier. I lost it over that.

I really want more bang for my buck and I’ll pay more (not heaps though). I don’t have young kids so I couldn’t care less about fan days and meet the player stuff. How does the club make me feel part of something special? It doesn’t! Q and A evenings - never. Members functions - very few and usually only when we’re playing 1000km away.
I’d be happy to get together with a dozen forum members - chuck in a grand each and become a corporate. But we shouldn’t have to go that far.

I will say, in response to my complaint the club really laid it on for my wife and I, they hosted us for a day at one of the ANZ home games. Cuzzo gave us a tour of ANZ early in the day, went into the media box, went into the dressing sheds and watched the team warmup from behind a 2 way mirror. Was out on the field for the onfield warmup and sat and watched the match from the front row of the players enclosure.

They actually repeated the effort the year before last after giving my seats away when I renewed my season tickets.

Nice mate. It’s just a bit of a hot topic for me

Mate you have nothing to complain about 😛 Last year they gave you seats 2 rows, behind the best looking and most intelligent supporter to make you feel more appreciated and important. I on the other hand had seats 2 rows in from of this loud supporter who just spent the entire season yelling at the refs. 😛 The club obviously favours you!!!

It’s all perspective hey. What I’d say is you were two rows in front of a bloke happy to share his incredible knowledge of the game. I’m surprised you weren’t taking notes?

Could you really imagine me taking notice of anyone else opinion lol

Yeah good point?

I will say, I do enjoy talking with you about footy, so you must have some insight lol

I feel NRL clubs are just large corporations now and we're merely consumers.

Agreed. But the club must be thinking about how to make the consumer experience better. How can they make us feel part of the Tigers family?

$$$$$ first, loyal fans 2nd. No surprises there, money talks.
Half of these corporate flogs would know less about our game than Peter Beattie.

Let’s just wait and see... they only said it would be at venues that can cater for social distancing rules similar to large Clubs Pubs and restaurants... that leaves BankWest ... you won’t see people around the grounds yet come July I think we will.. Nothing has been said by the Club yet either... there may be some sought of ballot for members who knows...

I can understand the thinking behind allowing corporates back first. The problem is half the people in the boxes wouldn't know a football from a pineapple and of the other half few actually follow WT. All the while members who have parted with dollars for years on end get to bide their time at home. Surely in a stadium with a capacity of 18000 + you could allow a few thousand members in. all distancing nonsense would be easily accommodated.

I think its more for sponsors and corporate types, which is a start they are saying the same rules that apply to pubs ect will apply there

Edit V'landys is a genius or he's sleeping with someone in Government, maybe Gladys 😀

Are you serious?

Even a brown dog wouldn't do that.

Tiger Steve,I have been known to organise the odd get together with forum members mainly at Campbelltown because of the close proximity to Wests Leagues and CSS..Many a beer and lunch has been had...
I have this week paid for my usual out of town supporter package, its called adult supporter now,the cost was $65 ..I will have about zero chance of getting to a game this year,I still have no job even though restrictions are easing I have been told when it gets busier I will get 25/30 hours a week..
I can understand the frustration that many who pay for tickets and cant get to use them feel.
I made the decision to pay my membership even though Im struggling, because our club is also struggling during these hard times to keep its head above water..
This season is an unprecedented NRL comp and as we move forward and hopefully eradicate the threat of the virus, next year and beyond should see our game grow bigger and better, and that includes the way all the clubs communicate and appreciate the fans, members and supporters..
If I get the chance sometime to organise a get together,I honestly think if we have a conversation as a group, take notes on what agitates everyone about the club with membership, communication etc and send it to J.Pascoe,Im sure he would answer our gripes in an orderly and appreciated manner...
food for thought guys....have a great long weekend...

The NRL’s grand reopening to spectators will include a limited capacity of just under 200 people in corporate boxes on Thursday night at Central Coast Stadium.

Fans and sponsors will be welcomed back to grounds this weekend in heavily reduced numbers, with entrance limited to one person per four square metres in corporate boxes.

Clubs are still determining how they will decide who will be let in, with South Sydney the first to open a ballot to admit some members for this weekend.

Under the rules, around 180 spectators will be allowed into each of the three games on the Central Coast, beginning with Manly and Brisbane on Thursday night.

The Sea Eagles will split their numbers between long-term members and corporate partners, with around 80 of each to be invited.

A small amount of spots will also be designated for away clubs.

The figure for the two games at Campbelltown this weekend is far smaller, capped at just 120.

All spectators will be confined to the eastern side of the ground, where Wests Tigers will also honour the late Arthur Summons in their clash with Canberra.

The Bankwest Stadium corporates will be a little busier.

It is believed approximately 650 will be allowed to enter their 38 suites and four function rooms, split evenly between the stadium and home club.

The figures are still to be finalised by the league, but they are the numbers clubs and venues are working off.

Most clubs, including Newcastle, Canterbury and Parramatta, are expected to join Manly and Souths in welcoming some fans to home games this weekends.

Given the small capacity at Campbelltown, the Dragons and Tigers will only have sponsors.

Corporates meanwhile will not attend the Warriors’ ‘home’ clash with North Queensland in Gosford, but the club are hoping to organise something for their Australia-based members and sponsors next time.

The loosening of rules around attendance at matches comes as ARL Commission chairman Peter V’landys continues his push for a return to capped crowds by July 1, and potentially opening the doors completely later in the season.

ROUND 8 📆 LOCK IT IN.

#NRL fans in NSW will be able to return to stadiums at 25% capacity from July 1.
