Farah needs to put the club first in 2017

You'd think Daley and co's priority in camp would be working on how to beat qld.
First point of order was proving Gus wrong.
Doesn't this sort of prove gus was right?
It's a bit embarrassing admitting you went through this process.

God i am going to miss Robbie. Maybe we can give him an extension and pay him a him half of what he is earing for his last year to take pressure off our cap for 2017? Food for thought

I am sure most on here get tired of correcting posting stuff that people do not understand.

Of the 950,000 he is being paid, 400,000 is money he earned a few years ago (it is back payment). So in actual fact he is being paid 550,000 approx. for 2016 and 2017.

So in actual fact you want to extend his contract (for how many years?) and pay him approx. 275,000 a season.

Personally I would like to see him go, but…..

I am sure he would jump at an offer that you are proposing - Are you sure we wouldn't be paying too much - maybe he could pay us for letting him play. Lol

BBF why stop there? Why not take the commentators to court and sue for defamation and slander? Why even have commentators if their opinions have to be censored. The problem isn't the commentators, it's the way society is today where people are so sheltered they aren't thick skinned enough to handle any kind of criticism without reacting like sooks. I'm surprised Gallen hasn't called Gus a hater.

I thought it was 400k total? Therefore 200k per year meaning 750k per season. Wouldn't touch him at half that price.

Sounds like sour grapes for Robbie again.
God I can't wait til he is gone. Self serving sook.

Are you talking about the article in the link ?
If so , how you could turn that to either Farah being a sook, or it being sour grapes, is completely beyond belief.

Hate him if you want, but at least be honest if you are going to criticise someone .
Especially, if the interview is there in black and white for others to see how inaccurate your post was.
It just makes you look ridiculous :crazy

If sports people have to be thick-skinned then why does not the rest of Australia also have to be thick skinned and do away with defamation laws altogether. IF they are totally unfair criticisms and they hurt the hip pocket nerve then be careful. It is not only commentary about the game but also about the person, this could reflect on post footie career chances of the player.

As well GNR people perceptions can be wrong. In chess I am often criticised for being too slow, only by losing players by the way. I thought I was always quicker then them. So I got out the chess clocks, like two individual stop watches, and lo and behold, I was quicker than all of them, and still beat them.

Well I thought the exact same thing as matchball when I read it but thought it was probably not even worth the time to post it on here as there'd be reactions like yours.

Bit like JT ringing Triple MMM to have a rant trying to defend himself.

I thought he should just of been worried about how to win our next game.

Embarrassing?

You and GNR must have thought so.

I did.

Sports people are no different to any others. There are numerous defences to defamation, including the expression of honest opinion and substantial truth.

Calm down, all he said about the article was that it sounded like sour grapes. I assume he meant this bit -

"He's off contract next year and I have no doubt there will be 15 other clubs trying to sign him and rightfully so," Farah said. "They've got a battle to keep him. It's going to be a big call for him about what he wants to do and I probably won't be there. _So I'll stay out of it this time. I've done my work – it's up to someone else._"

I can see why someone would take that view. It's not dishonest it's just an opinion. Different people will read different things into comments.

What are you on about, absolutely nothing sour grapes at all. Are you jealous of the guy or what? Do you treat people around you in the same manner?

Nothing to be jealous about. I just see a guy who claims to love the club with all his heart yet wouldn't help the club retain Tedesco "again". This is sour grapes. He doesn't like the direction the club wants to take without him so this is his defiant act.
Robbie has no maturity.

Yes I did mean that part thank you. I should have been more direct in my post but had a skinful last night.
This is a petulant act from a so called legend of the club.
He will leave and create a mess on the way out defiantly.

More information?

Gallen the other day said that him, Farah and the coaching staff went through the video of game two to see where they were selfish. Due to Gould's comments.
They found nothing.
I'm surprised they found the play button.
http://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/state-of-origin/teams/new-south-wales/state-of-origin-2016-paul-gallen-and-robbie-farah-conduct-selfish-origin-experiment-after-criticism-from-phil-gould/news-story/f54aa3b71e09caf70e3ed7b0690441c8

That's a pretty insecure thing to do lol. Though I'd expect nothing less from Gallen after the way he carried on when Sterlo said he shouldn't be picked, and also when Brian Smith goaded him on twitter about the peptides. The guy is a massive sook.

Not necessarily insecure as being responsible in case such criticism are genuine. And if they are found to be unselfish then the commentators should be censored for wrongly tarnishing the reputation of professional players. Commentators can be leeches making big bucks for destroying good reputations.

Love this one Farah needs no help destroying his reputation he does this himself with his mate Ayoub

St George or Catalans? If in Sydney, there will be one hell of a dummy spit if her doesn't get picked for origin from there. That would be about the only reason he would be hanging around rather than taking a payday in England.

Courtesy of the Tigers he'll be getting a payday next year regardless of whether he's playing here or England. He could stay next year in the NRL and try to get another run in origin and then just pick up an ESL contract for a couple of years from 2018 onward.

Ahhhh the resident magpies will never learn. Farah is here to stay and rightfully so. Go you tigers!!
