You know what else makes me mad - they don't say this about any other player, only Farah! They can all go and get stuffed as far, as I'm concerned. I will be barracking for no one when this crap is on.

Its not crap Flip ,to us Qlders its like having another birthday or getting 2 Xmases or 2 Easters

I actually sometimes wonder if Stuart is on the QRL payroll with the sides he picks :roll

What are the odds of a massive backflip over the next few days by Stuart & Blocker eg we were taken out of context thats not what we meant to say blah blah blah. ….

They would appear dumber than they do already. Is that possible?

I have the never understood the reference to "doing a backflip". If I am at the beach facing the water and do a backflip, I'll finish up still facing the water. So technically my position has not changed. journalists who make a living off this expression have obviously never watched a gymnast before. Perhaps they have mistaken a backflip for an about-face?
BTW, I'm not having a go at you tiga4eva, moreso the intellectually deficient media types who have thrust this expression into the vernacular.

With Buderus and Gidley both injured tonight, Stuart must be freaking out about who he will pick instead of Farah.

We all know his shooting himself and NSW in the foot.

I will always remember how he lost the aussie coach position. He blamed the ref's for our loss and then carried on again directly to refs in the foyer of the hotel next morning. What an example to the kiddies

It's crap as far as NSW is concerned, Happy. I used to love Origin, once, but all the BS regarding selections has ruined it for me. I don't think I have ever witnessed such blatant discrimination, with regards to rep selection than the omission of Farah from the team, year after year. And the way they are all so convinced that he is not suited to Origin - BS! There has to be more to this.

Stuart has a lot experince which is a great quality to have. It will enable him to recognize his mistakes when he makes them YET again

Reading some of the comments in the telecrap people are saying to pick hichcliff as starting hooker. These people have no clue whatsoever.

No wonder NSW lose all of the time When you listen to these dummies. It should be:

9.Farah
14\. Hinchcliff

How nice of SR to protect Stuart from undue influence, however, I must have missed his comment on W Bennett (and quite possibly other coaches) when they interfered with Stuart's job.

And on Farah, Roach last night said: "Robbie is a great player … His game doesn't suit Origin."

Let's discuss how accurate Stoive Roach is.

"(Robbie's) game doesn't suit Origin."

Yet Robbie just played in, captained and dominated the NSW Origin selection trial…City Origin v Country Origin. Oh what, it's not a NSW Origin trial? Oh okay. Still this was not a club game.

"You need more than skill and guile"

What else does one need? Or is Stoive not telling us in case Qld hear. Is he inferring that one needs to be tough...or daft...or perhaps one needs to be free on wednesday nights??? Or is he alluding to the fact that he and Craig Young have hidden 17 blue jumpers in various NSW towns and whomever finds them will the possess the 'something else'.

Is he seriously inferring that Robbie isn't tough? Or that Robbie isn't loyal or
patriotic to ye teams he plays for?

What possible motivation has he for stating this three weeks prior to Game1? A matter of days AFTER the NSW coach wrote of himself ringing Robbie to say he and Ennis were behind Budeeeeerous in NSW selection contention. Stuart wrote that he phoned them himself because he is loyal. I wonder if Ricky Stuart finished the phone call with "your game doesn't suit origin...oh and so with that in mind, not only are you trailing behind Budeeeeeeerous and Ennis, you're also trailing behind Manly's Toyota Cup prop who's e're thinking of as hooker because he owns a blue sloppy joe...and also the Newton jets fullback we're thinking of who doesn't have skill or guile but possesses the mysterious third ingredient that Blocker isn't able to articulate. Nice to chat Robbie. Good luck."

when claiming this Origin type of player, whom exactly is he referring to. The blokes that have lost the last 6 series, or himself? Sounds like old man roach is gearing up for "Back
In my day....things were really tough...it was so cold...blah,blah" speech that culturally lost old folk trot out to their bemused grandkids.

Isn't Stoive Roach accountable (as a blues assistant ) to the results during his involvement? The team has lost every series
he's been involved in as of late. Seemingly his relevance translates to some trite stories on nsw bonding nights...
Oh but hold on, Queensland have slater, smith and Cronk...no fair! It's got nothing to do with planning and systems in place. It's got nothing to do with professional coaches inspiring and innovating in their pursuit for excellence. Nothing to do with succession planning or talent identification..no Queensland are just lucky. Oh and when a Queensland coach mentions that his player has 'nothing to prove' when it comes to Origin that's okay. That fact that Budeeeeerous does not play 80 mins...CANNOT play 80mins, this makes him an origin type player??!?

Stuart writes his loyalty is his strength...um...really? A strength?

Says who? Oh Ricky Stuart says it's his strength....oh okay, well it okay for Ricky Stuart to be loyal (despite recent horrendous coaching record) but heaven help any other coach who is loyal...actually not any other coach...just the current Australian coach, current four nations champions and fresh off the ANZAC test win.

Roach and Stuart responses to the Australian Coach commenting on the City Origin captain's possible selection in the state side, has been nothing short of adolescent.

Wah wah wah - why are we playing in Melbourne
Wah wah wah - Queensland would never do that
Wah wah wah - the sermon continues
Wah wah wah - thanks Einstein

All this coming from a supposed head of
an elite organisation?

I know for a fact that Blocker genuinely doesn't like farah as a person and honestly thinks he is not up to origin mainly because of his defense and the point you don't have the amount of time and space in origin as you do in club footy which is what farah relies on. (Disclaimer: I don't necessarily agree with this)

Also blocker and Ricky Stuart are very close and have been great mates for years. Everytime a coaching job comes up blocker is pushing stickys barrow.

Buderus is now injured, and I bet Farah will still not be picked.

Watch this space for Buderus to play 20 minutes (if he makes it that far) with Hinchcliffe as the back up hooker and back rower….......

Well said Flip, I feel your pain mate, it's a bloody disgrace, talk about a fair go, they're kidding.

Up till now I was really hoping Robbie would be picked.
But now, with the nsw forwards coach bagging him in the media, I think he would be better off not playing.
NSW will lose anyway and Blocker and co would probably use Farah as the excuse.
It wont happen , but if it were me , I'd politely tell ricky I'm not available.
Then I'd concentrate on the Tigers and when I raise the churchhill medal at the end of the year I'd tell Ricky and Block to get that up them.

One thing is for sure.

Come Origin Blocker will be holding up one end of the breakfast buffet table every morning getting a wage for being one of the worst coaches in recent memory. His time as Manly's defensive coach speaks volumes about his actual knowledge of the modern game.

Buderus will play. I can almost guarantee it. Even if they have to sticky tape him together.

I dont want any Wests Tigers players near either of those hopless failures of coaches especially not Woods.

At Leichhardt we have had game days when we have honored former Tigers players, Kerry Hemsley is one who springs to mind. What reception do you think Blocker would receive after this incident?

Lol Blocker apart of a coaching staff is laughable. What possible advice could he possibly give? JC just gotta listen to him on 2GB for his 'expert comments'. In one instance giving it to the Roosters for taking a field goal when they were 12 in front with 10 to go, 10 out right in front. The man is an embarressment

For the last couple of yrs i've had the belief that if ever they call on Farah again he should give them a massive (to quote Smeg) GAGF

as nice as it sounds for Farah to tell Stuart to GGF, can you imagine the press coverage it would get? calls of traitor etc etc

I don't reckon they can pick him now anyway.

I'll never cheer for Qld but I won't be cheering for NSW this year I don't think
