Farah on Stuart Hitlist

Farah on tonights Channel Nine news. He said that although his Tigers contract expires end of 2013 he wants to agree to his future before the start of 2013 season. Also said he will leave his manager to work things out.

Clever self marketing by Farah. He's hot property after standing out during the Origin series and obviously wants to maximise his future before he potentially gets injured in 2013 or loses form due to being another year older.

So if he agrees to go elsewhere, we have him for a season knowing he's off the following year…ala...James Maloney.
Will be fine if he stays, could be disaster if he goes....especially as (C)...weve been down this road before

Yes Ink, this is the modern day player my friend. No more playing for peanuts. We might not like it, but he does have to look after number 1\. Surely the WT will retain him.

Ha, leaving Sheens for Stuart would be like trading your Porsche for a VB commodore. If Robbie thinks he'd be better off under that clown. Let him go.

I had a VB commodore ( 5.0 litre injected ) when harder than a Porsche !!! Lol ….. Robbie won't go anywhere , just topping up his pay packet !!!!!!

it will be an absolute disaster if robbie leaves or if he even plays for any other club except tigers. i will be devastated that's for sure

Farah is very smart. He already has a degree in Economics, a business venture and I imagine a decent bank account.

I believe part of the incentive for him to remain a Tiger will include some kind of a role within the club when he retires.

i agree , Farah won't be going anywhere . He would have no business in his restaurant one would imagine ,if he leaves our club.

Robbie closed down the restaurant a few weeks ago as he's too busy to put enough time into it. He's hoping to get back into it again after footy.

Smoking gun said he's a tiger for life and I tend to agree. Robbie Farah IS the Wests Tigers! I can't imagine him playing for any other team, just wouldn't be right!

As long as we offer something near market value, which Im sure we will, I think he will inclined to stay.

As I have said earlier there is a commercial value to being a one club player. Difficult to put a dollar figure on it, but Im sure Robbie would consider that in any decisions he made.

Every club has a salary cap, so if anyone is prepared to pay massive overs, the rest of their squad is weak, dont think Robbie would go down that path (he may do but dont think it is likely)

As long as he is happy enough, I think it is easier for us to keep him, than for someone to snatch him.

One thing about Farah is he HATES losing. Has said it on many occasions. Judging by the way he stood up to Matthew Johns and the media earlier this year, I can imagine if the team continues to underperform with Sheens as coach and he could get very vocal with his discomfort in the team.

I wonder what Farah feels about Sheens limpwristed soft–-- approach in the post match presser about the refs the other night.......he's out there getting smacked in the head, bleeding, pleading and breaking bones then comes back after full time to hear his coach:
"'We're not happy about it but the game's gone and there's not much we can do now,' the Tigers boss said. 'I'd rather talk to (referees bosses Bill Harrigan and Stuart Raper) about it."

I'd be disgusted if I was Robbie

Sheens is all about self preservation, deflecting blame, never owning up to his mistakes,he is a cancer on the club and needs to be punted ASAP.

Or seriously start thinking about moving on to a club that has consistancy

there's no way farah would leave. i can see stuart getting bird and pearce though. i get the feeling carney is happy at the sharks.

Never mind where Carney is happy, he's never voluntarily left a club anyway. That decision will be made for him depending on what he's arrested for on Mad Monday. He might be quite the bargain for the Eels.

I think Robbie will be a one club man eith a job with the Tigers when he retires, i think if he was going to leave it would of been the last time when he had the chance to join the Titans but he stayed loyal. As someone said if the Tigers are around the money i am positive he will stay loyal.
