Farah Slams Tigers Management

Farah is undoubtedly a poor leader. His ongoing relationship issues with Marshall, his onfield dissatisfaction with young players (Miller) and now this are a testament that he should never have been captain.

He has dismissed the past and endorsed the future....if it takes a small black eye to achieve that then I believe the positives in future will outweigh any minor negatives that will blow over in a day or two

i would agree with you ink if this was a one off.
but it isn't,all he and the club do is talk and talk and talk.
look at this benji crap,he is 2 years away from contract and we are hearing all this talk about his contract.and just when it looks the articles are subsiding farah has to come in and put in his 2 cents worth.
all we do is keep fanning the flames.

the ryan heino boohoo was enough, now we have to hear about recruitment again from farah.

all we do is bring upon ourselves unnecessary distractions by the leaders of our club.
i could understand kids doing it,but it is leaders from management and the playing group that are responsible year after year.
this club loves taking the bait every chance it gets.

Yes, how dare our leader be passionate about the club. How dare he start asking questions about management because our results of the last two years have exceeded satisfactory.

Fair dinkum, he's the only one in this shimozzle of an organisation that demands answers and accountability. How many contract stuff ups was Humphreys responsible for? Our recruitment and retention has been the laughing stock of the NRL. Farah has every right to criticise it.

Humphreys and Sheens caused havoc in the club the past few years. Now that they're both out, we've got an open and transparent, albeit acting, CEO, and a coach who isn't afraid to stand up to the egos in the boy's club, move on under-performing players, and provide opportunities for our juniors.

The fact that Farah signed a long term deal early on in the season says to me that he likes Potter's vision and what he is putting in place for the future.

Bright times ahead for our club.

Farah has every right to criticise, but not in the media… Any statements by ANY representative from the club should be done in a controlled environment which is approved by the club.

He should be having this discussion behind closed doors!

this club loves taking the bait every chance it gets.

It was always going to happen I guess after this particular game and with Fifita having a blinder…

Hes a marquee player, like Benji, they get the media gigs and are expected to talk about the club.

Unfortunately because the club cannot get its act together and is a [This word has been automatically removed]ing shambles, Im not surprised when these blokes are asked about these issues.

The can dodge the issue, sidestep their way around it with lame ''no comment or 'ask management'' comments = they get slammed for it.

They can paint it pastel with sparkles and BS their way around it with evidently politically correct comments = they get slammed for it.

or they can be up front, tell it as it is/was, be up front and say at the end, ''hopefully the club can learn from these mistakes'' = and still get slammed for it.

He cannot win.

Until the club gets its sh8t in gear, these issues will continue to be put to whoevers in the marquee players shoes in future

And who says he's not? I assume he is doing that as well.

I have a bigger problem with Marshall in the media this week. The night before a game with a week full of negative media is no time to go on the Footy Show. Unprofessional and selfish.

as watto said, he should say this behind closed doors, not in the media. what EXACTLY did he achieve by this? u're right, people will forget abou it later when/if we start making correct decisions but right now it didnt look good

no point discussing it now i guess, what's done is done. couple of good buys and this will all be forgotten probably

The headline's a bit dramatic. He didn't really "slam" the club… I have no issue with what he said

it's easy ink, don't take the bait.
there is plenty he can talk about on the field.
who does he get slammed from.
the media will get the point pretty quick.
and the club could also make it easy with a simple policy of all club recruitment is answered by the ceo.and we don't discuss current or potential player negotiations in public.

Did Farah say anything to offend anyone?
No.

The same people that disagree with Farah for calling it the way it is, should stop asking Grant Mayer questions like we have been on this forum. To me that's not the way a club should be run, with Q & A sessions.

Wow.
Obviously you don't see the leadership he shows on and off the field. He plays in 3 positions because he has too and does a gear job doing it.
How do u know his relationship with benji is no good.
God knows what we would be if he wasn't our captain. Obviously you would put benji as captain. No thanks

Maybe he's tried and nothing changed. A Bit of pressure might get them to act like a professinal football club

You are pathetic. Farah is a great leader, not perfect but clearly the best choice.

I listened to the radio interview live and thought he spoke well and he was answering a question. He said that past decisions were poor, but was very positive about the future. Nothing wrong with what he said, just a stupid headline.

Mate couldnt care less what you think. You called me pathetic for years when I said Moltzen wasnt a halfback's arsehole and then did the greatest backtrack in the history of the game to be his greatest critic.

You're a flip flopper. At least I stand by my views, right or wrong.

I think pathetic more accurately describes you.

I don't care what you think either, thankfully most have described your opinion on this one as laughable, which it is.

Farah carried us on his back for many years behind a beaten forward pack and you have the hide to come and say he isn't a leader, and that he's only had a few good games in the past six years. That's the definition of pathetic.

Who would you select as captain in his place, genius?

Fulton or Woods. Simple really. Both are team players.

By the way the above is not definition of pathetic. As a wannabe Journo i suggest you buy a dictionary.

I'm convinced you have a personal issue with Farah. Your loss.

You didn't listen to the radio interview, just as I suspected.
