Farah/Taylor Thread...

Compare Robbie's comments to ET's comments about Griffen. ET comes out and says how much he liked playing at Penrith and how much he learnt and makes his leaving Penrith all about him wanting to play first grade.

I do think JT really cocked this up though. I suppose it was made worse because Robbie is an egotistical twat. I'd love to see them both leave the club but lately JT has been handling himself better than Roobie.

Yeah well he signed that contract knowing there was a risk that such a situation would materialise as he's acknowledged. He signed it knowing that, whatever happened to the team, he was going to be getting paid a mint. When he was in negotiations he (via Ayoub) did everything he could to drive his price up. There was talk at one point that he was out the door to Parramatta. So he gouged the maximum he could out of the club. Now he was perfectly entitled to do that, but it doesn't mark him as a selfless club man who is prepared to put the interests of the team ahead of himself. A contract of that magnitude at his age was always going to create salary cap dramas.
 
Tigertigertiger - You obviously didn't watch Ballin in last nights game, and Steve - assume we are talking about Farah - JT is not a Moron. He had his own reasons for wanting to sack Farah - he was forced to apologise in front of the whole team (his reasons have been proven correct), and he has not dragged this up in ensuing articles, nether has the club - that is because he has class.

Farah says he loves the Wests Tigers but continually puts them in a bad light - something that you would not do if you loved something/someone. The only thing I can see now is a former football legend that is tarnishing his own reputation unfortunately because he loves himself more than something/someone else.

The "Class" I spoke of, is something that Farah can only aspire to - he hasn't got it and will never have it.

It is a real pity, he was a great bloke, a good player and a club legend that is destroying himself with self interest.

I still have respect for Robbie and he will forever be known as a club legend but it's time Robbie, for a player to obviously imo consider origin as more important than playing for Wests Tigers is idiotic and it's time for you to go.

JT stuffed up the Farah situation. He handled it terribly. He is a moron for how he handled that situation. He was also a complete moron last season with his comments regarding the previous players/coaches etc at the club. He handled himself with no class whatsoever. He has improved this season but it is off a low low base.

My feelings on Robbie are pretty obvious in this thread. For years I haven't rated him highly. I've seen him hog it and stuff up critical plays on too many occasions.

At the moment though I still think Robbie is a better player than Ballin and it's not close.

If I was JT I would be picking the best team which has to include Robbie.

It shouldn't be a Robbie vs JT thing which is what I think a lot of people do. That is dumb. Judge them both on how they act and perform.

He won't go next year though. I'd love him too but I can't see it happening. We signed him up. We should get the most possible value out of him.
 
Totally without class. On and of the field.
He is daring Taylor to dump him to reserves.i hope he's accommodated.

I actually totally disagree with you. but that is ok - it is our individual opinions.

I think it is the club that handled it badly - imo JT did what the board, the CEO and himself wanted - as it started to go bad - JT was hung out to dry. In a way I guess that does make him a moron for trusting them. However he took it on the chin and he has my respect.

IMO what made JT look like a Moron was…....that if JT had the backing of the Club to oust Farah ? The board should of had the funds to pay out Farah if he refused to do what JT said , that is where JT was let down and was forced to back track and apologize for something he felt had the best interest of the Club moving forward.
So he had the backing of the Club but got embarrassed cause the Club didn't back him and pay Farah out if worst case scenario was to happen.
 
From 2003 to 2009 I had a man crush on Robbie. From 09 I was ambivalent as I would often the good things outweighed by selfish or stupid things but i still woudnt have swapped him for any other number 9.

Now I pretty much cant stand the guy. The ego, the selfishness, the self-delusion. Everything his about him and woe if any coach tries to change things in a way thay Robbie doesnt agree.

Whether you agree with JT or not, as coach he was and is entitled to say that he would like to move in new direction. To carry on like he slept with your sister is just downright crazy.

You summed it up very well mate. For people to have a go at JT for wanting to make changes and trying to do behind the scenes, before RF and his manager decided to use the media to their advantage, is a disgrace.

I hope he never plays for the Tigers again. I have never booed a Wests Tigers player but I am reconsidering this position when it comes to RF. Calling him a dog does a disservice to canines.
 
Robbie Farah lost any ounce of credibility when my kids (4&6 year olds) approached him to say hi and he looked at them and ran the other way. Scared of kids or to cool for school I would say the latter. Oh by the way he was captain at the, time potter was coach who had a chat to them as did Noffa, brooks and Tedesco after a training session. Not hard for them. Too hard for Farah to say hi, i felt it was time to say bye to him then.
 
We are not privy to what really went on in the Farahgate saga a lot of people are judging both Farah and Taylor on what the media told them and from experience most stuff the media churn out on the NRL you can take with a grain of salt.

Okay after Pascoe came into the club and put the Farahgate thing to bed that should have been the end of it as far being out there in the public domain and certainly Pascoe needs to get Farah into his office and laying down the law to him about what is acceptable and what not is acceptable. Other than that I do not see what all the hate for Farah is based on and I do not see what all the hate for Taylor is based on. I am not saying I support either of them but I just do not get all the hate
