Farah/Taylor Thread...

If there was trouble in the camp, they would not have played like they did. No way.

It's called a beatup.

Ignore.

And another thing, if a coach takes notice of the fans in the stands, it won't be long before he joins them.

I apologize for not giving gus credit for these pearls. That dope Johns, was trying to tell everyone that weststigers were a bunch of dunderheads and Farah was so badly done by, that it was not funny. Gould pointed out that a coach picks the team that he believes will do the job.

He was right, and you can't argue with the results.

Just come across a post from a forum member on "the roar" and thought it summed Farah up pretty well…

Correct Greg. Tedesco in form and fit gets picked ahead of those available.

On the Farah selection; I wrote comments in a David Lord article on the weekend about Farah starting from the bench for the Tigers. David was highlighting how good he was when he came on.

However, I highlighted how when Farah came on he actually played close to the way Taylor wants him to rather than his usual game. Below is a precis of my comments;

...when Farah came on he played a completely different game to what he usually plays at Wests and much different to what he plays for NSW. He actually gave the halves good quick ball without the usual pauses and hiccups while he scopes out whether he can put a play on himself. Hence the halves played really well with the extra time and better quality ball they had. He did not try to be the playmaker.
Later in the match Farah did what he used to back when Benji and Scott Prince ran the show. He used the space in the ruck to take a run and he also backed up a runner through the ruck and, because the focus was on the halves as the playmakers, as it should be, there was space for him to run and score.
In Benji’s latter years at the Tigers and each season since then, Farah has massively overplayed his role in the attack. This has been to the detriment of the side (and his halves) and the only people it looks good for are those who had him in Supercoach comps, and maybe the journos and Origin slectors who are fixated with stats rather than player impact.

If Farah played the simple clean, fast distributor role he played last night a lot more often then he’d recieve much less criticism and probably have a happy coach as well. Farah is a good player. If he can control himself and play the role for NSW that he did last night for Wests he’d be a better player…

Now it is up to Laurie Daley to show Farah the video of Friday night and tell him that is what he wants for NSW as well.

I'd still like to know why it's such of an affront to start Farah from the bench and why is it viewed by the media and large section of fanbase as a plot to force him out…

Can someone explain that...?

It seemed to work quite well against Soiff's

Probably because outside of the Cowboys (you know, the reigning premiers with the gun hooker) no other team in recent history has started their first choice hooker from the bench.

Issac Luke at Souff's and the Warriors, James Seggy (even under Cleary) and as you point out Glanville (a lot this year: have started on the bench..so I wouldn't say it's un- precedented…

Other Origin Players Sam Thaiday a starter in Origin comes off the bench for his Club side...often..Klemmer until recent times

It's a 17 man Game..Eddie ..Why is it viewed as a demotion to play off the Bench..it's often said how much we struggle in the middle parts of games Farah being on the field in these times would benefit the team one would think...

Wasn't it JT himself who came out to the press with this statement

Wests Tigers coach Jason Taylor admits he is on the verge of losing the playing group after failing to guarantee Robbie Farah the starting No.9 jersey.

And wasn't it JT who made the statement about competition for spots when our best 9 is a SOO player. That was openly ridiculed yesterday on Ch9 admittedly by journalist but still not a good look for the WTs.

Can you link the 1st press statement please…

As for the second not sure just sounds like media driving the same line...

I didn't see anywhere in that article where JT was quoted that he will lose the playing group… Just putting it out there....

Can you please post a link where this has ben refuted by JT? Time to put up or shut up.

Better still why don't you speak with AAP or the journalist.

I fail to see anywhere in that 'article' Taylor admitting to losing the playing group by benching Farah..you would hope people would be intelligent enough to see through a headline…

hahahah 'put up or shut up'???
Anyway,from the article you posted:
Taylor was insistent the two had a good working relationship

"It's important for the team to be harmonious, and our club really is, our players are really tight, but some tough decisions need to be made and we have to have tough conversations.

Put up or shut up? What are you? A child? Grow up mate.

We believe what we agree with and call BS on what we dont. Anyone who feels strongly one way or another is kidding themselves if they think they are still viewing the Taylor /*Farah saga objectively.

Yes because clubs are in the habit of denying every bit of rubbish published in papers. As I said, you've lost all objectivity on this topic.

The proof is in the pudding. The team put in a great performance. As Gould said, a divided team doesn't play like that.

I will take Gould's views over your bile.
