The whole situation is such a sad state of affairs.
As the coach said - What individual milestone (in the history of Rugby League) is more important than winning a match. Every player to ever near a milestone never makes it the point of focus… Ever.
I find it amusing that there is so much talk around the milestone - Now, Whilst he's still a Wests Tigers player for (presumably) the next 18 months.
Surely, He'll play another 3 matches for us in that time.. What is to say he won't do exactly as the coach asked him, and celebrate the milestone in Rd 26 at LO against the Raiders? - As the Wests Tigers March into the Finals for the first time in 5 seasons.
I don't buy into the rubbish thrown around about Robbie not been a team player, not doing
as the coach asks. He's not playing badly. Imo Robbie is the best hooker we have and he should be in the team, for the benefit of the team. I would've loved to see Robbie celebrate his 250th game at Leicharrdt oval against the Cowboys. It would've been a great day and it would've brought the crowds in.
I couldn't believe when JT said there's too many playmakers in the team. Seriously? I would've thought that's a good thing to have. :crazy This just tells me JT has no clue of how to utilise the talent we have in the team. 😕
I truly believe this is done to embarrass Robbie so he would leave the club and save $$$.
Kind of have to agree for the most part. Obviously JT thinks it's not working and is struggling to fit Robbie into his plans for the team, but yeah I'm with you - I don't really get it, I accept it, but it's a little hard to understand completely. The Cowboys seem to do alright, Granville doesn't just pass the ball off the deck to the playmakers - makes some damaging inroads running through the middle at times, not unlike Farah I would think..
Thats right Sco77y. So does Cameron Smith. All creative Hookers. Unpredictable. Confuses the opposition as they don't know what they are going to do. eg run it, pass it etc.
All great hookers in the modern game play this way. To just pass to the halve's is very predictable and easy for the opposition to read the play. 😱pen_mouth:
