What really do you think Farah will do …what would you do for One Million dollars a year when you only have to work for 30 mins a week and this guy has the balls to want a job after he retires ,bleed the club dry ,destroys any chance of signing any quality players to make a play for any finals appearance and some here actually think this is a good thing well good for you! This guy has been destroying this club for years..

The majority of players want to continue being involved with their club or the NRL after they retire.
Robbie is not an exception. Imo, his knowledge of the game would be invaluable to us as a club. I would like to see him stay with us after retirement and contribute to the WT success. He would be an asset to us. Just my opinion.

He's Robbie Farah…. Not Peter Sterling!!

Very observant of you BB.

@Snake said:
Your BEST players start not sit on the bench to play for 30 mins a game . :righton:

Not necessarily. Some very good players have the talent to start, but instead give their teams a spark off the bench.

Robbie needed 3 more games to reach 250\. If he wasn't dropped, he would've played his 250 game at Leicharrdt oval playing the Cowboys. :frowning:
The whole situation is such a sad state of affairs.

As far as I am concerned there are 17 Wests Tigers playing on Sunday against the Dragons and Farah isn't one of them. The club has been in this situation on many occasions over the past two years and the team has still won matches. The team's focus must be on winning on Sunday without Farah. These Farah/Taylor diversions popping up every few weeks are as far as I am concerned only personal issues between these two. Support the team and let them play to their own ability and show that they can win without depending on any particular player in a feud with his coach.

Mate don't agree with what has happened, but agree with what your saying and maybe this whole thing needed to come to head once and for all. We do not know what has been going on in the background, anyway it can not go on any longer and we need to focus on winning as many games as possible for the rest of the season

Yep,JT obviously has backing from higher up to move Farah on,they don't want him hanging around next year, sad way to go out but that's Football,as Fatty said the same thing happened to him at Manly and the best thing for all concerned is to move on.
However Robbie should have shown better judgement re the clandestine meeting with Souths and not have listened to his Brother,if he wanted out he should have let his Manager handle it and stayed at arms length.

Surely, He'll play another 3 matches for us in that time.. What is to say he won't do exactly as the coach asked him, and celebrate the milestone in Rd 26 at LO against the Raiders? - As the Wests Tigers March into the Finals for the first time in 5 seasons.

NRL: St George Illawarra Dragons eye unwanted Wests Tigers hooker Robbie Farah

St George Illawarra have re-emerged as a potential destination for Robbie Farah in a development that could save the NSW hooker's NRL career.

The Dragons will take on Wests Tigers at ANZ Stadium on Sunday, but Farah won't get a chance to impress against the club pursuing him. Instead he will run out for the Tigers' reserve grade side against Newtown at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday, less than two weeks after leading the Blues to victory in third State of Origin fixture.

The Dragons made enquiries about Farah last August when Tigers coach Jason Taylor first threatened the veteran hooker with the prospect of finishing his career in the Intrust Super Premiership. Now that Taylor has followed through and axed his marquee man, the Dragons' interest has been rekindled.

Dragons hooker Mitch Rein is off contract at the end of the season and his management have been in negotiations for months about an extension. The sticking point remains Rein's asking price and the parties are yet to come to terms. If the impasse can't be resolved, the Dragons will look to make a play for Farah in a move that could result in the 32-year-old swapping one joint-venture outfit for another.

The Red V has made Parramatta playmaker Corey Norman their priority, tabling a lucrative three-year offer in the hope of making him the long-term halves partner of Gareth Widdop. But they are also seeking to secure a quality dummy half capable of providing them with good service and there are few options on the open market. The situation could result in the clubs discussing a player swap of Rein for Farah.

Farah has one year to go on a deal worth the best part of a $1 million. It's understood the Tigers are prepared to pay at least half that amount in order to get him off the books. Farah is entitled to dig in and see out the final year of his contract but he will likely be languishing in reggies if he chooses to do so.

While the Tigers have been diplomatic in their public statements – they insist Farah will be afforded a chance to get back into first grade – it's clear they want him gone as soon as possible. Officials had tried to trade him to Leeds as part of a player swap for Zak Hardaker, but Farah had no interest in joining an English club facing the prospect of relegation from the Super League. Hardaker instead did a deal that involved a swap for another unwanted hooker, former Panther James Segeyaro.

Farah had hoped to celebrate his 250th NRL game at Leichhardt Oval against the Cowboys in round 22, but it's now unlikely the milestone will be celebrated at the Tigers.

Taylor outlined his reasons for sacking Farah on Thursday, explaining his presence detracted from the cohesion of a spine containing playmakers Mitchell Moses, Luke Brooks and James Tedesco.

"We've got too many cooks spoiling the broth," Taylor said. "It's purely based on that. Robbie Farah is the NSW State of Origin hooker, he's a Wests Tigers great, he's a great player but it's just not working for us at the moment in regards to the cohesion of our team.

"I'm still not comfortable with where we are on the ladder.

"In my opinion we should be further up with the squad we've got and I've been brought here to get this team going in the right direction and tough decisions need to be made."

In recent times, the Tigers' record is superior when Farah isn't in the side.

"We had a good discussion, we went through some games and some examples of what we're talking about," Taylor said.

"Robbie's very disappointed and I've had a chat to him this morning and his attitude is he's going to get on with it and he's going to do it with a smile on his face."

I don't buy into the rubbish thrown around about Robbie not been a team player, not doing
as the coach asks. He's not playing badly. Imo Robbie is the best hooker we have and he should be in the team, for the benefit of the team. I would've loved to see Robbie celebrate his 250th game at Leicharrdt oval against the Cowboys. It would've been a great day and it would've brought the crowds in.
I couldn't believe when JT said there's too many playmakers in the team. Seriously? I would've thought that's a good thing to have. :crazy This just tells me JT has no clue of how to utilise the talent we have in the team. 😕
I truly believe this is done to embarrass Robbie so he would leave the club and save $$$.

Kind of have to agree for the most part. Obviously JT thinks it's not working and is struggling to fit Robbie into his plans for the team, but yeah I'm with you - I don't really get it, I accept it, but it's a little hard to understand completely. The Cowboys seem to do alright, Granville doesn't just pass the ball off the deck to the playmakers - makes some damaging inroads running through the middle at times, not unlike Farah I would think..

This is the problem ..now the whole success of the team moving forward to try and make the 8 has to revolve around Robbie and his 250 game at Leichardt..well finally everything does not revolve around Robbie anymore .

The fact that this descision made by the coach, created 50 more threads on our social site and 10 more journalits story's about the tigers No1 hooker is exactly the reason why the tigers want him to move on. Ask yourself. As said above now that the big bad coach has taken away from the team the magical chance for a lifelong club member to play HIS 250 games at HIS spiritual home ground for HIS fairytale story. Aren't you over hearing about it?

Nathan Peats (one of the better hookers in the game) had to pack up his family and move to another state - Where he has no family…

And there isn't as much hoo har as this ongoing saga...
Perform or get dropped, Do what I tell you - or get dropped...

It's that easy!!

Yep, thats the life of a professional footballer. Thinking you can choose to hang around and still get picked in firsts is foolish. No matter how good you think you are. He's just walked straight into a big wall of reality.

Stop everything. We should ensure that Farah played his 250th at Leichhardt. Everything else is second.

….

Of course im kidding. Plenty of others are joking too cause they couldnt be serious.

If Peats was on big money he'd be a fool if he agreed to go
If he said no, there is no way that Parra could have of forced him.
And in answer to the comment about "do what I tell you or get dropped"
You should have added do what I tell you and you'll still get dropped, because I Need a Scapegoat !
