Would be a great result!

Question to someone who follows SL - what are the actual chances of Leeds being relegated? I doubt very much that Robbie would go if that was likely.

Hard to say they have had a poor season but this week won convincingly over Wakefield who are 6th. Its a strange system of promotion and relegation - nothing like Premier League. If it was along the lines of EPL they would be in serious trouble. In super league after 23 rounds the bottom 4 teams of the super league and the top 4 teams of the second tier championship play a full round robin with the top 3 teams included in SL automatically and 4th and 5th playing off for the final spot.

West tigers have apparently been in talks with Leeds over a play swap. The swap would include Robbie Farah and Zak Hardaker. Would you like Zac to come to the club and how do you think he can improve our team because he is normally a fullback but can play centre as well.

I'm not too sure if I would want this to eventuate or not.
We all saw how badly Tomkins failed, Warriors paid a large salary and transfer fee to land him too.
And over there Tomkins is a better player than Hardaker is.

patty richards went well though, as long as we're not taking very slight players i think it'll turn out alright

ryan hall is always great for england too in test matches

No problem with this if it means we have an extra 900k in the bank for next yr. IF this is what the club is doing then they need to be working their heads and have a plan of picking up a hooker too because Halatau is retiring and the jury is out on how Ballin will return from a second knee reco. Would be great if we could get Seggy, or even Mitch Rein as he's been rumoured to be out of favour at Saints.

Wouldn't be surprised if something eventuates with Super League.
When everything hit the fan last year and Taylor wanted Farah gone straightaway it was said he asked to stay for a year and then he would leave for Super League and save the club some money.
We all know that offer was knocked back and the battle was begun.
Still think he will take that option, though.
Segeyaro would be great for us as Liddle gets some experience.
Think we can now forget other options after the Ballin debacle, Halatau (should be) retiring and Cherrington on the outer.

If we could get Hardaker and lose Farah, that would be great, if we could then some how lose JT and pick up a secondrower, that would be super.

I wouldn't lose Tedesco for anyone..

maybe just re-sign cherrington too and play a 50/50 liddle and cherry in the 17\. whoever comes out on top, gets a 2nd contract.

Surely JT refers to Taylor….

He knows it does, Teddy is non negotiable, we have to keep him

does origin matter that much?

he was good in SL, good in NRL. so it translates to some degree, probably not for slight backs like tomkins

was a 9 year gap anyway, he was 32 on coming back IIRC

i bet ryan hall (a few years ago) would have killed it. callum watkins would be good too. both have been great for england vs nz/aus.

It's not so much his origin, but more that he had already proved himself in NRL.

It translates to some degree yes, obviously any player who is bog average in ESL isn't going to come to NRL and kill it. But I think it's a select few from there who are capable of making it here.

For whatever reason the strike-rate for forwards coming out here and succeeding is much greater than that of backs.

Can't see how the numbers could possibly work unless Farah does the Tigers a huge favour. If he's on the reported 900k for 2017 the Tigers will have to eat, I'd guess, a minimum of 300-400k unless Farah agrees to waive the last year of his deal - which he has no reason to do. Then Leeds want a 500k equivalent fee for Hardaker.

So unless Leeds are desperate to get rid of Hardaker (and if they are why do they want a fee?) all the bad money is going in one direction. It's not a swap because there is no offsetting value. It's like saying I'll swap my mother in law for your car, and also you have to buy my mother in law a new car.

My guess is:

1)They feel Farah is someone who will make a real difference at their club, so they don't need much recompense from WT.

2)They're resigned to losing Hardaker a year later anyways.
