That's insane! There are some real idiots out there. The main problem with social media is it allows us to see what really goes on in the minds of every Tom, d*** & Harry and highlights just how many depraved people there are in the world!

The couple idiots that have invaded this forum the last couple weeks is a snapshot of what of people are like with their comments on Facebook. It's a real cesspool.

I think the guys who know for a fact that Robbie has screwed coaches over now and in the past on here are just as bad. Where are the facts ? If they exist no problems. If not then what sort of a person says stuff like that.

It's no more speculative than those questioning JT's real motives for dropping him.

What would happen if Farah turned up at reserve grade and played exactly to Taylor's script? Taylor would have no option but to put him back in the first grade side. If he didn't, Taylor really would lose the dressing room because the team would see that Farah is really having a go. As it stands, no one on the team seems all that fazed by it. Maybe they know something we don't.
My point is, if Farah really loves the WT as he says, he'll do whatever he can to regain the first hooking spot. If he does that he doesn't have to go anywhere. There is no drama.
Respect is a two way street.

Robbie has been great this year. I even heard JT state how good he played in a game earlier this season.

Yes Robbie can just turn up and play reserve grade and try to force his way into first grade. I honestly think that is what I would do. The problem is that he is getting crucified for doing this. The guy can't win.

Yes I do. I watch the games and Robbie appears to be a better dummy half then our other options. Compare that to the anti-Robbie comments.

Notice that I also posted the team list for reserve grade that has one Robbie Farah in the team.

Not really. If you watch footy you can see how good Robbie is. You could also state that he has just played SOO and did well in that environment. It's not perfect but it is a pretty good argument.

Let's compare that to the counter argument regarding Robbie being the devil. Where are the facts for that ? Where is any rational argument ?

The Lurker is stating the deal between the south for Farah is almost certain to happen. We will be paying half of the fee but at least we will have more money to resign Elijah Taylor and maybe we can also go for Daniel Mortimer.

Just to top it off for me:

- It's a tragedy it's ended like this. Farah should never have ended this way with Wests;
- The club did try to work with him, no doubt to save him face, before "someone" (read: his management) leaked to the media;
- Some bloody idiot at the club made the reserve grade threat;
- Farah went the power play believing he'd get the leg up over Taylor;
- Given that JT had to apologise, some concession had been made for Farah;
- After threatening that he'd be selected from reserve grade, the club foolishly played Farah, prolonging the saga;
- The club has finally decided to bring it to a head, back the coach, Farah goes on to slate the club and JT, torpedoing any chance he had of getting to 250 games here, and destabilising the season for his team mates.

Both sides have something to answer for here, but Farah's arrogance has ultimately sealed his fate. It's been reported for a while that Lawrence has been up for offer and has silently continued to play on at the club. Rather than slate all and sundry he went head down, arse up and got to the point he has furthered his stay.

It is shame he'll leave this way. It should have been handled better from both sides. I will not forget how it got out, his self service bit him on the arse and for mine he was happy to drive a club he loves to the wall in order to vindicate himself. Had he just got on with it, he'd have got my undying support.

The wheel has done a full turn if true,that's where all the trouble started in the first place with Robbie sounding out Souths.Apparently his Brother is on staff there so Souths seems the logical choice,i can't see him wanting to drive up to Newcastle 3 or 4 times a week.

I see Taylor's strategy as one way bet - everything to lose and nothing to gain. He does not gain anything by dropping Robbie but stands to blow our best chances at the finals. Plus divides the fans when everything was going fine. I think almost the whole board was supportive of Robbie finishing the season in FG after his last few games. Is he trying to prove something?

Mortimer seems more like a bench player to me.
I would have thought Liddle would be coming off the bench in 2017\. with a bigger body starting. JLJ is big enough to start at 95kg.
i'd only see Mortimer on a minimum contract and as back-up to Ballin/Liddle/JLJ..
however JT obviously see's the DH role a lot different to how i see it.

I will have you know that I topped the descriptive writing essay in matric exams half a century ago. Was an essay about a drug trip influenced by Sgt Peppers album I was crazy about at the time.

My earlier post was supposed to be a rhetorical question - was he worth throwing…... - but my computer full of salt corrosion keeps carking it every 5 mins so I am sort of swirling waters myself

Losing Robbie and Cherry, Ballin and Liddle in first grade. Mortimer, or someone similar would certainly be our nsw cup hooker.

With potentially little experience in the position, it makes sense not to keep a raw, young player like cherry when we already have Liddle. Someone who's been there and done it before, but would be happy to play reggies save for injury, would be great.

JLJ covers halves mainly.

Cook could be another option if Souths are going to let him go, but he may not be as happy to play nsw cup as Mortimer.

The Lurker is hardly concrete stuff but there's enough whispers around that something will be arranged with a club shortly. In time for Robbie to have a farewell either on or off the field.
