We all have different opinions and your a massive Robbie supporter and so am I
**But I'd rather see what Robbie is going to do on the field , not in the tabloids**
The one thing I hope JT does is push this theme
Actions speak louder than words :sign:
You know what the amusing thing is….If you actually read the article that is What Robbie is actually saying ...I'll quote it for you in case you missed it.....
Hopefully _focused on just playing footy and not getting too involved with everything that's written. Stuff is always going to be written. If we start losing a couple of games in a row people will start writing stuff. But you've got to believe in the group here and believe in what you're doing right as a team._
_I'll add that he is the Captain of our Club...In this age we want our players to be available to the Media the fans want to know what's happening...\
\
Actions speak louder than words... hmmm Well that's true ...Farah on the field gives his all for the WESTS Tigers every time....\
\
Perhaps when talking to the Media in future He could go down the NFL line for you Happy.....YOU KNOW WHY I"M HERE...._

He is not saying that in the interview.
If he had of come out and said Taylor wants us to focus on defence. Defence is all about attitude and our attitude at the back end of last year was the worst in the clubs dismal history.
People with the same opinion as myself might be able to accept he understands where he went wrong and we could all move on.
It will never happen though because he will never admit he was at fault.
Last I checked
"For us and JT defence is our No.1 priority," Farah said. "You never go out there to concede points, but last year for one reason or another we fell away with our D. There were a couple of games there where we had some really big blowouts. That's disappointing when you let the scoreboard get away from you.
>
"If you're going to lose you want to walk off with your head held high. We are working on our structure and different sort of things that can help us in D.
>
"When a new coach comes in with new ideas, we need to adapt to that and buy into it. "We make mistakes some times because it's new to us, but each day we are reviewing it and seeing where we went wrong and where we can get better."
Also….. In a team sport I don't believe 1 Player is responsible for the whole defensive attitude...even in the games we were pumped more often than not Farah topped the tackle count...
@Nors05 said:Here we go again. Farah does his best to try and just concentrate on football and trolls want to stir the pot.
We always talk about the players stepping up for the team. How about we as fans do the Wests Tigers a solid and just leave Farah alone for this season.
Seriously, lets just not critique him for ANYTHING but football.
But of course the trolls won't do this because it would be boring for them…because he's a bloody good Footballer!

We could of had the entire state of origin team but if the players dont like each other they wont win jack squat.Im hopeful Robbie has apologised for his antics last year and the team as a whole and more importantly as one can move forward and be led by a captain courageous both on and off the field. We are all in agreeance Robbie on the field is great but off the field there is some that say he must remember we are the Wests Tigers not the Wests Whiteants.
Also I think this whole thread is just a revisit of differing opinions of Robbie loyalist and Robbie realist from last years crap cant we just move forward and give Robbie a second chance and a fair go this year let this years performances be what motivates our posts on this forum this year. This thread should be thrown into the annals of history as it is achieving nothing but negativity for our great club.

They had no interest in being competitive.
Farah as captain of that group of players did not do enough on and off the field during that time for me to continue supporting him based on his previous great service for the club. He is now on a level playing field and ill judge him accordingly.
Ill be cheering for him in the jersey come round 1

@supercoach said:I was talking years ago to Kerry Hemsley in a pub and I was having a go at Ray Price and he said to me "mate you never bag a champion" The same applies to Farah, he is a out and out champion, and last year he copped it from all quarters based on some rubbish Tallis decided to air months after Farah had given him a throw line.
I am surprised he did not up and leave after the barrage he took, anyway shows what a real champion he is to stick around at his beloved club

OK so the team intentionally lost games, or threw games, or gave up, and Farah was supposed to have curtailed or stopped that?
That is of course pure speculation, what was in the player's heads during a loss. There is a difference between playing poorly and giving up for continuous weeks.
But if your theory is right, if the players actually and intentionally stopped performing at their best, then I would say it is the coach's job to ensure that doesn't happen, not the captain. And Potter has been thrown under the bus, so you should be satisfied.
You are too nebulous about Farah. I wish to understand what Farah failed to do, "on and off the field" to stop this team-wide mentality of "dogging" games.
Did he not play to his best on field? Did he not give his all, tackle all game, try to win, set up points, argue with the refs, be passionate about performances? Was he not visibly upset and struggling during media conferences about the lack of results?
And what about off-field? Assuming you are only aware of a very small fraction of what occurs off-field, did Farah skip training, or not help younger players, or not do his rehab or preparation before games, did he not attend video sessions or not discuss tactics with the coach, not practice game plan with the spine and senior players?
No… what he did was say something private in 2013 that became public in 2014, then tried to argue his case in the media, then became very careful with the media after it became a saga. He dodged one set of interviews after a game. He appeared to become upset and there is footage from at least one game where the coach took him aside for a pep-talk.
I fail to see any failure on his behalf in there. When Matty Johns cornered Farah in 2013 (?) about the team being "soft", Farah fired up on camera and most supporters were positive about that. Tallis essentially back-stabs Farah in 2014, Farah fires up again, but this time it gets mixed in with the long-running imbroglio about Potter's future, and somehow Farah winds up on the other end as the villain?
@Tony33 said:In this thread and countless others you have claimed or implied as fact, that:
- Robbie didn't like Potter
- Robbie was the reason Potter was sacked
- The team stopped playing because of Robbie
- The rest of the team didn't like Robbie
See Jerry, you have used the above assumtpions as a basis for your posts which you have tried to pass on as facts. Either show us concrete proof that the above assumtpions are indeed true or don't use them when trying to involve yourself in a discussion.
