I like the sounds of him, not intimidated by anything or anyone, hopefully he keeps this going right thru into his first grade debut & beyond

But that didnt happen, so what do YOU say now?
Just seems silly to me. Some want to be putting our best play-maker in danger in a training session.
I can just imagine the weeping and gnashing of teeth if Marshall was out for six months or more.
@DREW76 said:Ha ha. What does Benji think he's untouchable? Good stuff needs to be more of it!
@benjibrotown said:I think people on this forum need to harden up.. The fact the one football player talking another football player at training even makes the news is a joke.
@TheSunTanSuperman said:In other news, an incident like this happened and every other training session this week.

While I'm glad the boys are trying to impress and turning up the intensity at training, I think they should be mindful of silly injuries that may occur when trying to pull of these sorts of tackles. On Fifita, if it was a textbook tackle in the ribs that flattened Marshall then great….a cowboy shoulder charge in training on your 'mates' is out of order. Shoulder charges are intended to hurt the opposition which is probably why Benji was so upset plus the guy is twice his size....just silly IMHO.....I certainly wouldn't have been happy.

We all know Benji aint afraid of any physicality whatsoever so that reiterates the severity of the incident
Both parties need to be aware of level of intensity, Its Cheap and Stupid to put an UNEXPECTED Shot on anyone let a lone the star playmaker.
@The Tooth said:I love Benji, but sounds like he might of got a bit big for his boots in this incident. I bet Farah wouldn't have got all in Fafita's face about it.
Although young, Andrew Fafita has everything you want from a young prop. By the way he stood out in the under 20's, I think he might be one of those kids that is ready for the challenge of first grade. I'd love to see him on our bench throughout the year. He is a game breaker!

Some of you people amaze me. You think it is ok for some young player can put a cheap shot on the best player in the club. Let's face it if Benji does not play for the season, we do not go anywhere this year.
I think that Fifita will be a good player, if not this year then soon.
Marshall can take a lot of hard knocks as we have seen over the years, but to think that it is ok to take a shoulder charge or whatever it was, when it is not necessary says a lot about the maturity of some people on this forum and the mental maturity of Fifita. Wise up.

Mental maturity…... ?
You're right, maybe they should just play tag in the pre-season as a way of simulating the rough and tumble that is an NRL season. If Marshal was the cool and mature person you presume some of us on the forum are not, then why the hostile reaction to a new young member of the top 25 squad. Should he also lose his cool in a game if some dares shoulder charge him.
If the facts are as what they were reported (Full contact season) then there is no reason for Andrew to have gone in soft. If the shoulder charge was on, then well done for taking it. In a game situation, the shoulder charge is discouraged because it may not be effective. However if the kid has a Sonny Bill like weapon on him (Timing and power) then he shoudl use it.
Just as it upset Benji, it'll have the same effect on opposition teams and will lift morale in our own team. I'd rather have two Fifita's (Hey... we actual do) then two Bryce Gibbs in my team.
