I think a lot of people are criticising Fifitas play just because he has signed elsewhere.

He is a very good player and will be missed

Definitely agree with this.

He obviously does have some attitude/training issues but with his head in the right place, he could be anything. People who are hammering him are obviously just upset because he has signed with the Sharks.

He could go either way, end up a nobody or become a superstar, who knows. But to dismiss him just because he's gone is a bit petty.

Its a cop out to say anyone hating on Fifita is just upset he joined another club, in order to believe that you have to ignore how he played/handled himself in 2011.

No cop out at all, I already said he has attitude/training issues.

Most people who are giving it to him deluxe are just annoyed he has left.

Guarantee if he starts playing well for the Sharks there will be threads in here bagging the club for letting him go, such is the fickle nature of some fans.

like i said - he's still a kid - he has a lot to learn - but look at all that potential.

Daine Laurie and Arana Taumata anyone?

Just 'sayin.

Please don't bring Arana Taumata into this. Your talking about a guy whose played for 7 clubs in 5 yrs and has been sacked from just about all of them due to off-field issues. Sure Fifita has said a few boneheaded things in the media, and may have a bit of a chip on his shoulder, but at least he's never been charged with prescription fraud

Which IMO is a cop out and ignores 2011.

How do you know his '11 season wasnt a result of knowing he was on the outer combined with his immaturity?
Hell….he was dragged along to some games to help with warm ups hold bump pads, hadnt played reggies yet was fully fit...it was almost like a public humiliation for him

Thats exactly why I think his 2011 season went so badly ink.

I can understand how he dealt with it to a point, but beyond that he needs to harden up. He is an adult, not a 3 year old.

If everyone is only bagging him because he left the club then why doesn't every player who leaves get the same treatment.

From the NRL

Tall timber players Luke Douglas and Kade Snowden may have moved on but their departures have been capably offset by some smart buys. Ben Ross returns to the club, having excelled as the Rabbitohs’ most dependable and valuable prop (average 106 metres plus 25 tackles) last year. He joins formidable Andrew Fifita and Bryce Gibbs, snapped up as a package deal from the Wests Tigers. The change in club will be excellent for Fifita, who didn’t always see eye to eye with former coach Tim Sheens. Fifita is a colossus who possesses a good skills set – he made 75 tackle busts in 17 games last year and Flanagan will be hoping he can puncture the opposition defensive line often so Carney can follow through and wreak havoc

Fifita could be anything and I don't wish ill will for him. But I don't think sugar coating how he left the club helps anyone.

He might look back at the end of his career and wonder if he should have handled it differently, maybe he won't. Maybe Sheens will do the same thing, and treat the next kid coming through a bit differently as well.

Quit the arguing, it's tiresome and pointless. The point is, Fifita has moved on. Hopefully the move works out well for him.

This came to mind when i read some of your posts. Yes, it is a happy and open forum. But you should learn to know what you are talking about before you post. I asked you a real question and you just blew me off. Tell me, why should i add to your reputation points. What did you teach me on this thread of Fifita. All i got was the ramblings of a disillusioned wests tigers supporter. If you gonna contribute then be productive, have somke facts at least. Now can you please tell how fifita left? What actually happened. Thats all im asking brother. You seem to know.

It will. He will be a superstar by the end of 2012, playing for another club, all because a stubborn coach with a poor win/loss ratio couldn't get on with him.

Last chance to stay on topic and keep things civil. Otherwise this thread closes.

I really think Gibbs + Fifita are a better combo than Snowden & Douglas. I think FIFITA will be an absolute star under the influence of Paul GALLEN. He will thrive under Flanagan's style and ability to get players to perform.

FIFITA WILL EARN A NSW JUMPER IN 2012
