In This week's edition of RLW under the hot gossip coloum, it says that "Eniigmatic front-rower Andrew Fifita is on thin ice at teh Tigers. The talented prop was stood down from all football last weekend after skipping training and has been given a sten warning to get his act together if he hopes to play for the Tigers again before moving to Cronulla in 2012."

Looks like we made the right choice in getting rid of Fifita.

Looks like, baring injury, we have seen the last of Fifita at the WT…Gee it's annoying seeing players with SO SO much potential, having hissy fits and throwing it all away...We saw it with Dane Laurie and se are seeing it with Fifita...they just seem unable to get into the right head space!!!. I wish him luck at Cronulla, he only needs to focus on one thing there....and that is to grow up!...

woah! talk about neggative people…. who are you to judge he has a poor attitude i dont see any of you out there training with him or playing along side him,you all make you statements from sitting in your seats which i would hardly say is 100% accurate.Give the guy a break like most of you all state hes leaving next year so why are you kicking up a fuss.
He was out there on Sunday showing his support,so how can you say he is being a sook.
I believe he deserves another chance like magpie2tiger said hes only still a kid has alot to learn.

Because he is required to be there - That's his job. But people were questioning why he isn't in FG at the moment and part of it is because of his attitude. Skipping training is hardly professional, if you're sick or cannot make it for some reason, you call your employer and let them know - simple.

I think we would all like to see Fifita recapture his best form and get back into FG, but with a minor knee injury hampering him and an attitude that leaves a bit to be a desired, well it's no surprise he's languishing in State Cup.

Fair enough call but clearly he has to be there ,but yet you have people making comments that he wasn’t involved ,why would he warm up and be actively involved if he isn’t playing ?Skipping training, how do you know he didnt make contact with His coaches ? Just because the media prints he skipped training does not mean he simply didnt turn up and no one was aware, so all these assumptions that he has a poor attitude are really not fact just peoples opinions from the outside, which is i guess what this whole forum is about.
People ask him why he isn’t playing his simply replies ask the coach and yet again gets labelled "has a poor attitude" what else is the guy ment to say ?
Obviously being dropped from FG is playing on his mind as it would any player.

Well my opinions are more based on what I saw on the field this year which was a disinterested, lazy footballer who wasn't prepared to put in the effort required and looked as though he didn't want to be there.

remember, defence wins finals footy by driving the opposition crazy.recently fifita lacked commitment. last season in the finals he was the surprise and his offloads were gems.
dont write him off.he may still be there if needed.
and everyone lifts for finals , you feel the tingle.

fifita is 22 how old do u have to be before your not qualified as a kid . I like fifita he was a fav of mine and wish him all the best in the rest off his career.

Just changing the subject, David is playing like Arthur Beetson and I hope he is within our structure somewhere next year.

What about Achurch Bug, should he come into consideration if Gibbs is out?

i heard achurch is going to penrith/windsor wolves next season, although it wasnt from the most reliable source

I heard the same thing Alien, ie Penrith have signed him.

wouldn't the best way to prove a point to a coach to show how valuable you are to a team is:
1\. train the house down
2\. give it all on field.
3\. ask if there is any way in which you could improve your game, then go and do it.

He had his days y do we still talk about him he was playing bad then dropped now our team is winning he wont go near the fg gl to him next year lets move on now

100%, thats how it used to work… But today, they have Player Managers in thier ears telling them things like "you are better than NSW Cup", "there is no reason why you shouldve been dropped", and the most common "I think I can get you better dollars at Cronulla"
