I reckon all the best scenes in this film involved Beth Heke.
Rena Owen deserved all the awards for her performance.
In such a weak year at the Academy Awards, she wasn’t even nominated.
Temuera Morrison played a good part too, wouldn't mess with a guy like that at the pub, Jake the Muss it really suited his character who ever thought of the fictitious name well done that's gold.

Yeah he gave a ferocious performance.
They made him look huge too, in reality he’s a midget

You mentioned the Academy Awards before really question their choices for best movie sometimes, the year Top Gun Maverick came out I thought was the best movie in years topped the box office and I don't think won anything, fair dinkum head up arses for that judgement.

Sorry I replied but some stiff collar deleted it.
Obviously can’t handle the truth?
Academy award nominations and winners are decided these days through DEI checklists. If you don’t comply, you don’t count.

I watched Cyrano DeBergerac with Gerard Depardieu on SBS a few years ago and whoever did the English translation was an absolute genius. As poetic as the natural French. Brilliant!
Ol' Gerry was pretty good, too.
dig past Gerard ,Jean Reno ,Audrey Tatou,Cathrine Fret . Director Jean-Pierre Jeunet .French black n white tells a similar twisted lovely tale of woe

A Prayer Before Dawn.
Loosely based on the life of Billy Moore. Lived a pretty crazy life. Hard as nails. Doing good things now I believe.

Poor Billy
The movie had him having relationships with a ladyboy

He claims that didn't happen in real life

Cracker movie tho, with Joe Finn from Peaky Blinders.

Exactly. Tom.Cruise. Something going on there. Not one Oscar. Some great performances.
