Im a huge foreign film fan.

Anyone seen the film Irréversible. Unbelievably disturbing and lingers with you for about a week. Not for the faint-hearted.

**I’ve heard that’s one of the hardest films to watch**
I remember watching Martyrs,French horror/thriller.felt gross for weeks after watching that one

Its pretty brutal to sit through it.

I read an article that said 250 people fled the film's Cannes premiere, with many of those fainting and seeking medical treatment. It's so bad even some its actors can't sit through watching it. Apparently the movie also used infrasound, or low-frequency sound waves, to augment its unsettling visuals. You can't actually hear the sound, but your body registers it which can cause feelings of anxiety, unease, distress, depression, shivers and nausea.

I watched it about 10 years ago and just 2 weeks ago for some whacked out reason i gave it another viewing just to see if i remembered it being really that hard to watch. The wife lasted about 5 mins and left the room. I didnt sleep too well that night.

Far out that’s wild
Although I’m curious now lol

Not that i’ve seen it, but I think it has a pretty brutal rape scene.

I just watched the trailer
Looks interesting.....might pass

Check out the movie Vulgar, it's got the guy out of Clerks in it.......but don't expect a Clerks vibe, it couldnt be more polar opposite.

Painful movie man.
Just find the mentioned scene on a website and avoid the rest.

The older I get the more movies stick with me

Movie is ridiculous man...
A goth dude i went to school with had it.
He had all the sus weird stuff.
We watched it and its just a big headache.

The 1 scene will be on certain sites and thats enough to sicken ya out. Seriously sitting through the whole movie is a big waste of ya time.

Watch blood in blood out instead.

Blood in blood out is on my list ?

Always one weirdo with the hook up for weird or prohibited stuff.

Blood In Blood out is a long movie
BUT
Its epic.

Like Lord of the rings
But Mexican and in the streets of east Los.
Its hard as it gets.

1 of the top street flicks ever.

Same level of epicness but no wizards and dwarves.
Just crims and gang members.

There’s genius in that seemingly mundane narration. Pauly’s system for garlic. To this day I tell my wife not to put too many onions in the sauce every time she is making pasta and she has no idea what I’m talking about.

Pesci is the ultimate mob actor.

I saw legit mobsters rate him like that too, as the most believable. Stating you can tell he possibly grew up around wiseguys.

@Cultured_Bogan clarifying...
I saw them on podcasts say that, haha.

Check out some of Peter Jackson's early work before he moved on to Lord of the Rings.
Bad Taste - available on you tube. Aliens invade NZ to harvest the population for a global fast food conglomerate. Only the secret NZ government agency, the Astro Intelligence Defence Service (AIDS) can save the day. Particularly love the chainsaw scene.
Meet the Feebles - A warped version of the muppets where the host (Kermit equivalent) is a rabbit with a healthy sexual appetite who ends up picking up a nasty disease. One of the shows stars is a knife throwing heroin addicted war vet who when withdrawing, suffers flashbacks and aims at his assistants rather than missing them.
Braindead- A young man with an overbearing mother finally starts dating. On his first date to the zoo, his mother stalks him and is bitten by a Sumatran rat monkey, which leads to her becoming a zombie, and various hi jinks follow. Particularly love the lawnmower scene.

I haven't read through the whole thread.
I'm not much of a passive watcher, either TV or Movies so I'm undoubtedly behind the times.
I watched the David Lynch film 'Mulholland Drive' the other night. Isn't that excellent?
I'm a big fan of David Lynch and the Coen brothers.

My favourite movies, IE, those I would happily see several times.
Film & Director
12 Monkeys: Terry Gilliam
Mulholland Drive: David Lynch
No Country for Old Men: Coen Brothers
Blood Simple: Coen Brothers
Blue Velvet: David Lynch
Fargo: Coen Brothers
Brazil: Terry Gilliam

I also like some of the later films directed by Clint Eastwood.
