Finally a signing

I'll be happy if this turns out to be true. Hopefully it means Lovett can drop off the bench.

Seems odd that the club wouldn't announce it immediately and prior to the game tomorrow arvo to boost numbers.

They usually hold off these things so as not to distract from the upcoming match.

Also in fairness to other teams that are losing players mid-season.

The thing that pleases me is 2018 is in the Clubs favour and not the player. Has the Club finally learnt something? :unamused:

Nice work FT thanks mate.

I hope you're correct Newtown. Fans have been waiting an eternity for Sirro to have a big game

think sirro is one we should let go, he has been gono do this and do that and has done nothing. end of season clean out sirro, dene, buchanon, lovett, edwards, chee kam, and buy 2-3 up and coming backrowers. we need size and power.

Not sure how you can rate either Edwards or Chee Kam when neither has played in our top team. Edwards will be a 'hit' in more than one way I believe. And I would love Chee Kam to have an opportunity - he was good enough for Manly's team last year, but apparently not good enough for a team battling for the spoon!

11\. ET
12\. Lawrence
13\. Sue

That's pretty solid.

Sue to prop and ET to lock for mine, especially with Woods out. Sirro and Aloiai can fight it out for the 11.

When Woods is back:

Woods
Farah
Grant
Lawrence
ET
Sue

Ava
Edwards
Aloiai
Siro

I think your kidding yourselves. No way is Taylor going to pick a forward pack without his mate Lovett being in there. I think the pack and reserves you have chosen are great and would be my choice but as we have seen Taylor sees things differently to most tigers supporters and people on this forum. Let's hope he has a change of heart and picks forwards and gives them the sole job of going out there to hurt the opposition pack as well as their halves. I hate the Tigers not attacking the opposition halves as much as our halves get run at by the oppositions big guys. Fight fire with fire.

Now that bench is starting to look a lot better than it has been

With the Club crying salary cap constraints at every opportunity, where has the cash come from to buy a new player? I would have preferred if money is available it be available to the new coach to spend on the players he wants. Perhaps this is the case?

If you look at it, all isnt as it seems. Originally the club stated it's salary cap drama and the media have jumped on that. I believe we have fixed many issues in this regard and will be close to a clean slate in 2018\. The media will bang on stating our cap issues at any chance they have but they have no idea at all. They are still going off statements made at the beginning of 2015\. Dont believe the media regarding our cap. There are a couple of issues with Lawrence and Farah on overs but thats it. We have money to spend for both 2016 and 2017\. Then even more for 2018.

You have to wonder if the team selections are due to the cap. If they aren't, then Taylor has a lot to answer for.

The clean out has begun and will continue to do so.

We have let players go such as: Lamar, McConnachie, Seve, Parahi and by the end of the year i expect players such as Buchanan and Halatau to be moved on.

I would say there must be some truth to immediate cap pressure on selections ..I can not imagine otherwise as Taylor realises that winning is the only thing that will save him.
The only other option is Pascoe and O'Neil are setting Taylor up to fail by restricting the selection process and with the talk of O'Neil's mate Payten in the box seat I would prefer this scenario.

How the hell Milone gets picked twice, and Chee Kam hasn't got picked once, and I won't mention the other 2, Taylor has a lot to answer for. :brick:

I dunno. MCK and Edwards and Co. must be spewing. Not the way to build energy, drive and desire within the club. Never being given a chance must really stink.

Jesus- Boonboon2 finds some reason to rate this post negative. 😱pen_mouth:

i would definitely have sue on the bench at prop, we really miss his impact.

11\. lawrence
12\. halatau
13\. taylor

ava, sue, aloiai and siro/edwards/lovett/chee kam take your pick

Get serious BP - Edwards and Chee Kam haven't even played an NRL game for us yet.

Talk about not giving people a fair go.

I'd rather have Grant on the bench and have Sue start at prop

8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Sue
11\. Lawerence
12\. Sironen
13\. Taylor

14\. Grant
15\. Ava
16\. Aloali
17\. Edwards/ MCK

That's a good pack, ET would bring a lot as an 80 min lock!

I just don't get the love for Sirro, he has been in the top grade for a while now and is a major disappointment, imo if he doesn't start producing the goods now then I doubt it's never going to happen…
