First car ever owned?

Makes me sound ancient, but a 1967 vc Valiant! It was about 23 years old (the car, I was 18) when I got it. Cost $250, and I'm pretty sure my parents ce me the money!
Loved it, but in hindsight it was a death trap. 😳

FC Holden Special; rebuilding a ute in the shed currently I was so fond of it!

Loved the FC, especially a particular one finished in Canary Yellow and redone chrome work around Ryde back in the day. What an exquisite grill they had.

My first car was the two models later 61/62 EK Holden (similar to below photo) that I gave a pretty simple do over. Dropping it with lowering blocks for the leaf springs, cut down the front coil springs, slit and bash up the guards at the top of the wheel arch, then filling the tubs with a set of "fats" fitted to shiny new chromies, with extra inside dish as well to really fill out the tubs. Couldn't sit more than one person in the back, and even then they had to sit in the middle to help stop the tyres from rubbing the inner guards.

The old 138 grey motors would have trouble pulling a hat off your head, but along with the "3 on the tree crash box" (you had to basically stop to get it into 1st gear), they were reliable.

A mate had a H G red station wagon,it was called the capsicum, bashed n barged his way into, out of tight spots,1st class parking out front of untrustworthy mega malls.Poor ole Darvid went sliding across the back seat, straight out the driver side passenger door,2nd corner ,be4 a good straight to wind it up in the burbs.

I had a white Holden Commodore. Can’t remember the model but it had no power steering and went through more oil than an Italian restaurant. Once blew a tyre doing about 120 down the highway near Hay, thankfully I was able to manage it back down to get off the road.

Darvid was a lucky charm.Car rolled it onto footpath,no damage to shops,he lost the tips of his left hand as /when it rolled sliding .Some how he told us it was still all right when his dog,Cheech freaked out .over took the stirring and plowled us into a wall, national parks.Cheech was a pest, bottom of a 2 k down hill slope ,90 degree, left, quick right quick .no in The Zot Cheech found the railing,
