First Grade Live Game Thread vs Storm

geez, we were pretty average….a win is a win, but i hope we don't have to to melbourne again this season.

we need to focus on finishing second and avoiding these guys at all costs.
 
I know the weather played a part, but we really should've beaten them far more easily than that. Imagine what they would've done to us with their Origin players in. We've a long way to go yet.
 
Take a bow Adam Blair. May have taken a "homecoming" of sorts to do it, but very influential tonight for mine. Would love to see if his stats reflect it too or if it was more always right place at right time

Utai, beau, keef, woods, heighno, Blair all strong games tonight. I think Fulton did some important work in defense too.
 
Blair man of the match for me, special mention to Beau but Blair came up with some big plays at the end I thought
 
Tough win but seriously both hookers are dopes he kicks it out on the 80th minute dangerously instead of taking another tackle. 77th minute kicks on the 4th. Sorry but when we play tough edgy football we still make stupid decisions including marshall who played crap tonight.

We won and that's all we needed in a city we have never won. If they had the big 3 we would have lost. But throw in Robbie and we would of been much better.

If the big 3 were there I think we would of seen a better performance. The conditions tonight suited Melbourne and hurt our attack. We blew a lot of chances which is a shame. But we won and were the better team and now 7 in a row.

Saying it was an average win is slightly unfair i think. Storm still have a strong team. condintions were miserable, storm had all the lucky calls and we looked dangerous in attack lots of times but couldn't finish it off. If Lote could run the 100m in less than 13seconds it wouldn't have been so close.
 
Everyone mentions their BIG 3 missing, but we also were a fullback and a hooker down. So that leaves only Cronk the difference.
Anyway I'll take the win.
