Fitness????

Why is this team so unfit? We have a smaller pack and backline, yet seem to struggle alot more with fitness. Thats the last thing we need. Overpaid unfit blokes 😂😂

don't know, lack of concentration certainly, lack of execution in attack.

We were all over them that first half, quality stuff except for the final execution in attack, which is what ultimately killed us. Going in at 14-6, I reckon the boys didn't think they could win.

I dont think they are fit, considering the tigers had the majority of possession 1st half…they should of had more legs then the storm 2nd half.....how didnt the bunker see the swinging arm to the head on edwards? That totally changed the game, storm scored from it right before half time and edwards wasnt seen again.

What did they do in the off season? You cant have 60% possession in the first half and come out gassed in the second. Please Ivan bring a fitness trainer with you.

This game showed more than most that our fitness sucks big time
Did they do any conditioning.
Ifs a disgrace to put a team on the field with the fitness level that we have.

They are trying to get blokes to play more minutes than they are capable of. Grant and Sue looked gone at various stages of the game, but were left out there. Part of this is probably done to Edwards being KO'd but also the fact that again we went in with a ridiculously small bench. You need to carry 2 front rowers on the, we had one, a hooker, a relatively small backrower (Taylor) and Edwards who is too slow for the backrow & too small for the front row.

Moses had fitness it seems, chased every Melbourne break full length of the field.

With Moses's build and his age , if he's not fit he'll never will be …
A few worming tablets wouldn't go astray .

Yep moses was good.

Just the forwards that seem to struggle.

We need ET too play 80 minutes.

Put him on a edge so he doesnt do as much work so he can go the full game.

I can say for a fact, one of my mates spoke to one of our players in January and asked him how hard the preseason was, his reply was " it's the easiest one I've ever had" and that guy was not a rookie

ET was guilty in both of their length of the field tries. Im a ET fan but him playing 80 is not the solution.

I think that you are pretty close to the mark regarding our lack of big quality reserve forwards. Over the past two years our club has not has enough cash to purchase the forwards we really need. The club has had to settle for second best in the player market.

Most of our reserve forwards, although coming in fresh, are not putting in anywhere near the same amount of effort and commitment which our starting forwards are providing. I am quite confident that this problem will be addressed by the start of 2018 when hopefully our club can finally open the purse strings to buy enough big strong quality forwards to overcome our current quality forwards shortage. The club hopefully will also have some money left over to buy one or two quality centre/wingers.

That certainly seems to be the case we seem miles behind in conditioning

They're fit, just no fight in them

They cant be fit… they are in the games right till the 30 min mark, then fall away dramatically for the remainder of the game... this is the only thing that is consistent with this team.
