Fitzy blitzes fans in the proper forum

But I am pretty sure its half way though the season and we are in the top 8.

IMO its way too early to be calling for heads.

Problem with that line Simon, is that you have been using it the last 4 seasons. If we are in the Top 8 in Round 10 of 2011 will it be too early too be calling for heads?

I understand that the season is far from a lost cause. However even if we sneak into the Top 8 with 11 or 12 I fail to see that as a successful season with our roster. For mine in 2010 it was 13/14 wins, Top 6 or see you later. Really with Melbourne out of the comp finishing 8th with 11 wins is not a good season.

Knowing us that is where we will come and Sheens will get a further season extension!

We are two points out of the top four.

We have had a host of injuries and some very close last gasp losses.

Yet we are in the top 8 and heading into Origin time losing no one.

The sky is falling in…..sack Sheens.

Can I just say I think anyone who can bring themself to boo a tigers player wearing the tigers jersey with pride & doing his best… is not a real fair dinkum fan of the tigers & i'd go as far as they should go look for a new team to follow as I don't want them at the tigers...

Simon, in years gone by maybe, but this year most of the close game we have won we were lucky and most of the close games we lost we were lucky to get close. A top eight finish in this comp is no where near a pass mark. Lets see if we can at least put a mini winning streak together and do you really think our team can beat St George,Manly, Storm,Penrith,Parra,G Coast and even the Bronks at the back end of the season. They may beat one on a good day,but with the way Sheens has set our team up we will struggle.

Although you are probably right, I would be giving him at least another six weeks before doing anything drastic, things can change quickly as in 2005, but really Iam not confident

I am a huge supporter of this forum and absolutely support everyone's right to express their opinions - that's what the forum is for. This article bothers me, though, because it suggests that, as WT fans we are not prepared to give our support to every WT player.

As far as I am concerned, anyone who runs on the field in a WT jersey has my 100% support, whether I agreed with his selection or not. If you don't think Fitzy is the best player for the spot, express that opinion on the forum, then get out to the ground on the weekend if you can and scream your lungs out for Fitzy to do well.

The attacks on Fitzy have become personal, and that isn't necessary, or fair. He is the club's second-highest try scorer and deserves respect for that.

Sheens is right to support his players and it would be wrong of him to criticise them in public no matter how they play. Hence the 'so-called fans' remark. My own view is that Fitzy will drop to the bench or State Cup when Taniela returns, and that has always been the plan. The fact that the team has suffered so many injuries has caused Sheens to select Fitzy for his experience. He did well on Friday night.

In the article, Fitzy says he doesn't read the forum - I hope he is telling the truth because some of what has been written on here about him is hurtful and personal. I want him to know that he has my unwavering support on the field, whether I think he is the best full back in the club or not. Go the Fitz. Go the Tigers.

What a refreshing post. Well done mate.

The booing when Fitzy is called out is quite disgraceful lol.

This sentence is correct …except for the lol at the end.

Why did you add that? Do you not believe what you wrote?

yep, you are right 20% of the time, well done mate!

I like this question simon…since it's not about Fitzy anymore...

Would you trade your 05 Premiership that's in the bag for 4 finals appearences in a row with nothing or if you did win have to give them back ala the Melbourne Storm.....?

I will speak for simon and yourself we would not trade 05 for anything.

It was a absolute miracle and may never happen again.Hey nosworthy only coached us to 1 premiership in 1969 and people still remember him and he didnt make another finals appearance after that. And in them days coaches generally only coached a club for no longer then 3 years.

Thats a stupid analogy as you need to make the semi finals to win a grand final.

I doubt anyone would take 4 eventual unsuccesful semis appearances of one succesful semis campaign

Why…I know a few Dragons fans that would trade 10 finals apearences for 1 win in 92 & 93 & 99...Oh well at least we made the Grand Final...they sprout...Yeah and lost....

In fact most are more Shattered and filthy at losing them than choking in more recent seasons...

Me I'm stoked we won 1st go.....rare,,,,,,

Imo there is no doubt that the one win is much greater than 10+ finals appearances.

The point is though that if you can wn it you should be able to at least make the finals in another couple of years.
