I agree and as I said before a lot of people are making the mistake of thinking that Folau's freedom of speech is being impacted - it isn't. Folau is free to say whatever he pleases.
But employers must also have the right to terminate employees who continually say things in public that are contrary to their business. Folau isn't just a once-off, he's been warned several times, so he is clearly and consistently in breach of the warning.
Folau is a public entertainer - playing rugby for a living is a privilege afforded by the will of the public. As such, he is subject to public opinion and he cannot separate his personal opinions from his status within the rugby community.
