Nice, my wife and I lunch in Melbourne on Wednesday, a rolled eye fillet , with asparagus and vanilla mashed potato and cherry tomatoes. Restaurant made us a fresh bearnaise sauce and to make it special I ordered a bottle of Penfolds 389 Cab Sav.
Best meal I’ve had in a restaurant for years. I’m drooling now at the thought of it.
And the best thing is I’ll have paid it off in about a year !! 🤣

This might be an unpopular opinion but flathead is the best eating fish.

Beer battered flathead yum!!

Flathead's good, but my favourite is mangrove jack. Catching them is the issue.

Found the giant crab legs , got a piece with 4 legs , can’t wait
Seafood salad home made ( chopped up ocean king prawns , celery, shallots , capsicum , mayo , seafood cocktail sauce , cracked black pepper , )
Lamb leg chops , Slab of rump on bbq
Coleslaw home made , wife’s mix , I don’t look just eat , it’s good

100% you cut them into 3 sections on the joints then cut them lengthways and a huge piece of crab comes out , they were full of meat , worth it yes , would buy them again no problem , they are expensive but it’s once a year treat and since i got crook , no beers at $ 55 ctn per week I’m well in front as haven’t bought beers for 6 months ,

You are worthy of the splurge, I hope they were amazing. Sometimes you just have to say to hell with it & spend the $$ on something that makes you happy. Happy New Year

Love the look of this. Looks like Chinese beef and black bean, but could be many dishes.

Adding Bok Choy/Choy sum or your chinese greens when cooked right elevates a dish.

I asked one guy who was cooking Pad See ew what 'greens' he was adding to his dish. He said "chinese greens' i said which ones? He did not know???
