At 9:12 am today the breakdown of Members online & guests:

Total: 310 (members: 27, guests: 283)

It makes me wonder why so many guests? Just how many of them are actually Wests Tigers fans?

Surely some of these guests ARE actually fans of the club, I wonder why they just don't sign up and become forum members? Surely not all the guests are fans of other teams?

If you're a guest and happen to also be a Wests Tigers fans, I've got something to say to you, as Lara Bingle said "Where the bloody hell are you?" Sign up, join the forum and have your say!
If you're a fan of another club, beware, the Wests Tigers are ready to kick butt in 2025!
 
Some people just like to lurk. I think it took me about 5 years to post a comment.
I bet some of ya wish I hadnt started.
More importantly member up to your club.
There would be also be a high percentage of Mastheads looking for a story to rake up some bs.

A lot of journos, content creators and fans from other clubs….and likely some board members 😚💀
 
Various reasons champion. Some "lurkers" are intimidated to participate in the conversation they just want to stay up to date. Many checking out the Signings, Suggestions & Rumors thread, no doubt. Also some of the "guests" are search engine bots which crawl the web for indexing (sorry for sounding like such a geek I used to work in the industry)

I’d ask you to explain, but I’m not sure I’d get it and it might scare me.

Basically search engines like Google crawl the web and discover pages to index in their search engine so it's discoverable when you type in a search word. Does that make sense?

Go to any of the management rant threads and you'll see why.
Normal people aren't up for the abuse and pile on's.

That does, and is not as sinister as it sounds.
“Crawling the web” looking to bite you like a nasty little spider.

If you don't want the spider crawling your website you can block the spider but why would you do that you get a ton of google search traffic for free that's how in addition to word of mouth forums grow.

Yeah, nah. It sounds like we need it, but to the novice it sounds scary.
I’ve had a spider on my face twice in my life and now I’m no good. Nan wouldn’t let you kill anything and I used to hand relocate. But now I use a steel cap. So crawling through the web to me is get the mortein.
Google is good.
 
As we close on Christmas I would like to thank the moderators and Kul for their perseverance and good humour throughout a difficult year. I always enjoy the forum and our members who use it. We are all WTs in the end and I hope 2026 brings us good fortune. I am looking forward to watching KPP play, as I have always held him in high regard. I tell my mum who is originally from Yorkshire, KPP is a London lad, not a northerner.

It's a constantly battle.
