Foundations For a Very, Very Great Team

Too much credit given to Sheens in my opinion.
Some of these guys were too young for him to have had anything to do with them.
This is the third year without him as well.

There have been a few on here saying how good Moses is going to be…..
Has been taken to task about his defence etc...

Stirlo comes out and puts his seal of approval on him and now everyone thinks he is going to be terrific. You don't need Stirlo to tell you how good he is = believe your own eyes. He is going to be a Champion of the highest order.

Good post - it is all before us, all we have to do is be patient.

Sheens was the one who identified our only chance of survival was to develop home grown talent and pathways from the park to the NRL. He knew we did not have the money to be able to compete with the likes of Easts in the player market. As most people know I was never a great Sheens fan but he deserves a lot of credit for some of the systems he put in place. You only have to look at how Balmain and Wests have being going in the junior comps in recent years

Not all of these guys will kick on, everyone needs to be aware of that. Even in 05 we had guys that never went to the next level (Collis and Harrison). I'm sure in a couple yrs we'll be talking about 1 or 2 of these guys who didn't make an impact. That's why it's dangerous to invest everything on juniors, it's all or nothing. It shouldn't stop us from buying the right player when he comes along

Jamie Lyon is a class above…
Not many like him.

I like fast, pacey, centres that know how to pass.

Brons always had a bad attitude whenever we played him, Dene and Benji in touch. Mouthing off at us etc.
