Fulton a smokescreen for Brooks?

I'm pretty sure that Potter would never tell the world, so early, that brooksie will be playing but I'm also uncertain as to whether he'll debut him against the Souths. He's is often very secretive through his lineup and changes it all the time during the week so it could be a smokescreen…i guess.

So, thoughts?

Look I don't whether he will put Brooks in this week but if he was to come in this week it would put Siro to the bench. But to be honest Marshall and Fulton have a great record in the halves if I'm not mistaken

I hope not. We need to bring these young halves into a team that has structure, so they can play their basic game to get a feel for the big show. At present they cant hide, our sliding defence isnt anywhere near where it has to be and they will be isolated and targeted. And not only defensive structure, in attack they will benefit when we can get players in motion to be some sort of standard and know that someone will always be there.

fair enough, probably won't see him this week. But i'd love to see him this season, 85kg isn't too small. And he's been taking NSW Cup very well. Did solidly against the Bears a couple weeks ago although he wasn't targetted too much. Guess we'll see how braith does then potsy will make a call on whether to give him a shot or not.

Also, anyone know how our 2nd tier salary cap is doing now that miller has left? or does that not come into effect till next year?

I don't know why everyone is panicing about the second tier cap

Worse case the club gets a fine ,it hasn't bothered us in the past

Bit hard to go he complain about your injury toll to Shubert when asking for a cap concession telling him you cant promote anyone from your lower grades and than you go and release one of your fit 1st tier contracted players in Miller

Doubt the club is out looking to get fined happy, with the financial troubles present they will want to keep costs like those down and that will prevent us from putting up people from NSW cup/NYC.

Supercoach Miller was only released because he wanted out

He told another player that during the pre season

not a chance, I think he has opted for a bigger pack and better defense given what they are up against. I reckon he may bring ob benji some where other than the halves

Agree with you all here. As much as Potter might be tempted to throw Brooks in, it would in all reality be like throwing him to the wolves. Throwing him in the deep end is one thing, but to the wolves is another. Certainly the timing is not right. With Anasta due back in rd 12, Ayshford, Lawrence in 14, i'd say look for Brooks somewhere from 15 onwards. We need to remember he's played about 6 NYC games and 2 state cup games. Not a lot of professional football at all.

not too sure if he blood a new half back against the top team. benji will probably come on around 20 min mark. will be expecting it to be pretty rough for for first 20 mins.

farah and siro to do all the kicking until benji comes on. its a good kick up the backside for benji but also allows him limited playing time to properly heal. i still dont understand why adam blair isnt dropped!!!! everyone bar our coach can see it. even blair admits his playing shit…. geez!!!!

i know we have injuries but use spence or something and leave blair on the bench at least. surely after this game if he commits to being consistantly rubbish that he HAS to be dropped or is our beloved coach going to drop reddy or something. i know marshall is out of form but i rather blair. we all would.

Blair will be next. if he doesn't perform better this week then this time next week we'll be reading about him. Fact is I don't think Potter would want to ship both of them out, even if keeping them for their experience. So to me it looks like a case of sending out a statement of warning to his underperforming stars. They must improve otherwise they suffer the embarrassment of being dropped.
