Fulton so far?!

I honestly feel that he has been one of the best acquistions for the team this year.

I wasn't a big fan of re-recruiting former players but Liam Fulton's form in this early stage of the season has floored my earlier remarks.

He has really developed whilst in England and his return to the NRL has been excellent. He gets involved both in attack and defence, he has a NEW found maturity in reading the game and knowing when and when not to do things. His support play has been exceptional and his work rate in defence is evident week in week out with constant high number of tackles. He is a real CONTRIBUTOR in the team.

We have had a few standouts this season with Lote, Benji, Galloway & Ellis really stamping their marks on games.

Fulton should and would be included in this quattro for mine, I am looking forward to watching him week in week out because of his talent and what he brings to this excitement machine that is the WESTS TIGERS of 2010!

Your thoughts?

Agree. Like u i didnt want him back, not because i didnt rate him, i just thought his lack of size along with Heighno's would be an issue for us. But he's going great guns.

Fulton and Fitzhenry have both been undeniably great acqusitions for the club and have lead from the front with their experience. Both quietly acheiving what is required from them from the coach and great to have around the club to keep the staff on their toes.
No surprises the club is going from strength to strength since these two pests have been back!

Fulton has always been a talent ready to explode in first grade and runs some of the best lines of any second rower. His defence and work rate is and has always been faultless. Lets not forget his progress was badly halted after 5 seconds in 2006? After that he took a big of time to regain his confidence before going to England in 2009.

That extra few kilograms has definitely made him a more potent attacking weapon and I think the best of Fulton is definitely yet to come! Very exciting thought…

I agree with the above based on the same arguments.

I eat my words and think he is a great asset for the side.

To those of you closer to the action is it right that the only reason he left in the first place was part of a deal to clear a bit of the salary cap for Benji's re-signing. If so it was only right that he be welcomed back with open arms.

A big risk to go to England at his youthful age and be left 'out of the loop'.

Was not fussed either way that he was going until I saw him in the Return to Redfern match in 2009\. Than it became clear how he was developing.

Regardless the year in Europe gave him a different experience, let him see that part of the world whilst being paid to be there and continue along his path.

Glad he is back and playing well thus far

Fulton yes, Fitzhenry no. He's doing bugger all out on the field CT and has been ordinary to say the least.

Bugger all? Sheens brought Fitzy back to plug holes in the squad when and if required. So far in a handful of games Fitzy has plugged SEVERAL positions onfield including KEY positions.
As for off-field and what YOU clearly dont see is what he is providing to the youngsters who are coming through the ranks.

I've got no dramas with whatever good deeds and leadership Fitzy may offer at training CT. Fact is while he has been on the field, he has been ordinary, despite plugging holes where required.

So do you expect him to come out with MOM winning performances at NRL level when he is used as a super-utility with minimum game time? He has done an exceptional job and STILL assisted the team to winning matches even when hit by injuries to KEY positions such as fullback and halfback without disruption to the team's cohesion.

Fulton - Has exceeded expectations and deserves credit for what he has done thus far this season which has included overcoming an unfortuante injury.

Fitzy - leadership yes, on field performances no. If you think otherwise you are deadset kidding yourselves. While no one expects him to come out with MOTM performances, we still expect him to perform at some sort of competency befitting an experienced NRL first grader to which I don't think has occurred.

No, I don't expect him to come out with MOM performances each time CT. It would be nice to see him actually look dangerous out on the field rather than the tripe he dished up against the Cowboys. He's hardly done an exceptional job and where has he assisted the team in winning, apart from being on the field of course. He's played 168 minutes of football, made 198 metres in attack and 24 tackles. No line breaks, no line break assists, no try assists…

I'd like to see him turn this around and shut a few people up CT, I don't go looking to flame the bloke at every opportunity but to say he's done an exceptional job is a bit far fetched based on what he's showing out on the field so far.

You'd have to be either delusional or a stirrer if you tried arguing against those stats. If you asked Fitzy himself he'd probably be a tad embarrassed about his performances being inflated like they are.

He's doing exactly what we need our forwards to do, lay a platform. He's been solid each week and I think he's a perfect fit with Ellis and Heighington in the back row.

Good post, Big T…........spot on.

As for Fitz, No No No No No.............CT !!!!

Was not keen on the return of Fulton, but like other I was wrong. Doing tons of work in defence and has looked dangerous on occassion with the ball. If anything, I would like to see him get more involved in attack throughout the season.

I expect him to catch passes that are thrown onto his chest, but I guess that's too much to ask.
