with G-train still not re-signed with sharks, and word being he is on the outer. would it be worth making a play at him. although he is the wrong side of 30 (33, 34 next year) his body seems to be in good shape this year and is still playing good footy making 30+ tackles and 200m a game. current NSW captain and australia player. his experience would be amazing

i would love for us to sign him on a 1 year deal for next year and have a pack something like this

woods
roobie
galloway
sironen
taupau
gallen

lodge
ava
sue
lovett

Cant stand this grub, but you cant deny his workrate… If he was gona sign a one-year deal, you would think Cronulla would simply extend him.

Thinking he will want 2-3 years minimum, probably best chance is SL?

i agree with all his negatives but surely a coach could put in a system where he get one touch of the ball a set.
heard he would not want to relocate his young family so SL doesnt sound like an option

As stated above, he is a ball hog. Would kill our attack, no thanks.

His last contract, he would want a few years and a motza and their would be clubs willing to pay it. He is not what we need, we need strike weapons, young punishing ball runners for the backrow and the centre positions

What a spewer.

We need centres , Taupau is the best up and coming 13 in the game and Gallen is on the way out

Centres people , centres ,centres ,centres

A quality centre will help both Brooks and Moses by creating some space for them

I think he might go to manly.

i dont think manly are stupid enough to sign Gallen to a two or three year deal.He has been a super player but one more serious injury to gallen i think will be the straw that brakes the camels back with Gallen.

No. He's a ball hog and would stunt our attack which is already suffering.

Would fit right in with the game plans that have been handed out by the coach over the first six rounds.

NO!

Too Old, too set in his ways, and as people have said a ball hog.

Don't need to stifle the attack when JT lets them loose.

This is going to be unpopular, but I reckon he is part of the reason sides he plays in loses.

He is terrific at what he does, but he takes too much on his own shoulders and tries to do too much, it hurts the side. He runs the ball on the 4th and 5th tackles more than any forward in the comp. This stifles attack.

He gives away too many penalties and makes a few too many mistakes, this swings momentum

Super coach has led to fans judging performances on stats for than they should, Gallen is a beneficiary of this a bit.

No where near as highly rated, but Id have Alex Glenn over Gallen even at the same price (which they wouldnt be)

I dont expect many to agree

I actually think many would agree Goose. He takes about 6 hit ups a game in the opposition 10m area and late in the tackle count, even if the back lines are set, thus stiffling the attack.
