Wests Tigers are pleased to announce the re-signing of Keith Galloway on a three-year deal.

Following the signing of Bulldogs prop Martin Taupau yesterday, the Wests Tigers pack continues to shape up well for the 2014 season.

With 162 NRL matches under his belt, Galloway has established himself as a leader in the Wests Tigers pack since joining the Club in 2006 from Cronulla.

The 27 year-old has represented Australia five times, whilst also earning honours with New South Wales and City Origin.

Galloway’s 2013 campaign has been interrupted with a pectoral tear suffered during the Round 2 win over Penrith at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

“Keith has been sorely missed while injured and we are looking forward to having him back on the field in the near future,” Coach Mick Potter said.

“To have that commitment for the long term really adds some stability to our front row.

“Keith consistently makes the most metres which gives the team that much need go forward.

“He definitely has a presence on the field, being a big man he stops people on contact.

“Keith really lifts the people around him when he plays.”

Weighing in at 112kg, the Yarrawarrah Tigers junior’s towering presence in the pack is something that has been missed this season, with the prop looking to return the field in the coming weeks.

“I am really excited about re-signing, we have a great group of players here with some exciting youngsters coming through the ranks,” Galloway said.

“I am into my seventh season at the Wests Tigers, by the end of the contract I will be in my tenth season and I’m proud to be a part of such a great Club.

“I have been working really hard in rehab and hope to be back ahead of schedule to help the team in the remainder of the season.”

Galloway joins fellow props Taupau, Aaron Woods, Jack Buchanan, Ava Seumanufagai and James Gavet who have committed to the Club for 2014.

If he can stay fit for as long as possible then it's a great signing. A front row rotation of galloway, woods, buchanan/taupau/groat/gavet/ava with a full off-season is exciting .

Is that an announcement that gavet has officially re-signed? I thought he was only contracted for 2013\. Also, should we read too much into the absence of Groat in that mention?

That's a good resigning. Our win rate which him is much higher then without. Here's hoping he can make it onto the field this season soon.

With a good off season, Potter is going to have a pack that will be able to match it with the better teams.I think 2014 could be a much better year although after this year anything will be good.

Because there are no props really available at the moment, it is a good re-signing. Another thing, Roy Asotasi is off contract at the end of the year, currently on big money which he won't get again, he could be on the move. I'm not his biggest fan but for the right price I'd take him. Surely better than Rose.

Great news as we now have Woods, Galloway, Taupau and Buchanan locked in. That's a decent rotation. Assuming Sue wlll be going nowhere either. Big Ava and Groat though are going to be 50/50 calls moving forward now. Hopefully this now ends any association with the name George Rose.

31, 32 next year. too old for a prop, sorry. We need someone with mongrel and power. That tends to come in the form of people like Taupau, Woodsy etc. not oldies as much cause they're getting tired from decades of footy and have accomplished what the wanted to, or don't care anymore. This is obviously a generalisation, some aren't like that.

There are exceptions to this of course. An example the springs to mind is pat richards, although that's a whole other kettle of fish as he is a back.

Can't wait to see a FIT galloway once this idiotic training/conditioning is sorted and we don't have a hospital named after us for the contributions we make to its income every year….
