Wests Tigers second-rower Gareth Ellis has started running on an injured foot.

The English international suffered a fractured left foot in the round 5 loss to South Sydney at Allianz Stadium.

Ellis has been working very hard in rehabilitation under Andrew Leeds with a view of returning to the field in the round 20 match against Nth Qld Cowboys in Townsville.

Meanwhile, Wests Tigers hope to have props Ray Cashmere (calf) and Matt Groat (knee) available for selection for the round 16 match against Newcastle Knights.

if we get gareth for a few games to get match fitness before the semis and ensure we are in top 4 we are going to be unstoppable! Imagine Woods, Galloway and Ellis !! Back again!

Cant believe its been 10 or so weeks, the time goes quick.
Heres hoping for a speedy recovery Gaz…just in time

Hard to imagine we've won 7 straight missing our best player of the last 3 years. Goes to show how much our forwards have improved this year as in preVious years his abscence was disastrous.

It's a shame someone has to make way for him, but if we're going to beat the top teams he is needed.

Yeah true. It just shows how much our props are firing this year compared to previous years. Ellis would be a massive addition to our pack at the moment but we are traveling so well without him. Good to know there is life after Gareth for next year. I think Blair and Fulton in the backrow have done a great job, Fulton tackles his butt off every game and Blair is as solid as you can get without being overly flashy and draws much unwarranted criticism for this. When Ellis comes back in 4 or 5 weeks the pack has to look like this doesnt it?

8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Ellis
12\. Blair
13\. Fulton

Would love to see that pack run out,that is a premiership forward pack,with 14 Bell,15 BMM,16 Cashy,17Ayshford/Reddy

I reckon 851\. Thats a world class forward pack right there. I cant think of a better one running around. Its an embarrassment of riches when you have players like Bell/BMM/Cashmere/Rhino/Ayshford/Reddy/Humble/Moors and many others to cram into that 4 man bench.

The final piece of the jigsaw puzzle

If we can keep them all on the paddock , we are going to give this title a huge shake

looking forward to see his return to the wests-tigers pack.
he has been very good for wests-tigers and would be great for him to return to england with a premiership ring on his hand.
