Yeah….but we had 17 blokes who were willing to die for each other last night and one bloke who couldn't show up on time.

one more time for the dummies

t could be a cultural thing.
Wasn't he involved with gangs in the past in New Zealand -
the media scrutiny and exposure - could it be this
could it be his personal life - woman problems
i mean he has the whole world at his feet
His potential is herculean and he is a crucial member of the squad
I hope this gets sorted asap for all our sakes.

Excuses all. Plenty of other people with off-field considerations who don't bring it to work.

He was the first player greeting fans today at the members day.

He chatted to my kids very gently and seemed like a humble guy.

Some people are late. He made a mistake. It's done now. I for one hope to see him in first grade next week

Give the guy a break, he may of got lost, car problem or traffic, the broke puts in 110% every time he puts on the jersey. :deadhorse:

Whatever his reason, AHX, it didn't wash with the club. Gavet did the wrong thing and he has paid the price - end of story really. Hopefully, he will not even think about going down this road again. We need him back on the field asap.

Which isn't very often.

Its clear some people have no idea what being a part of a team is, and how ones actions such as this can affect a whole unit

obviously he's cocked up, its a poor look (within the team) and he needs to be repirmanded and then punished.

but i dont think it should hamper his long term position or progress at the club. He'll learn and as long as he doesn't do it again, i have no problem with him returning to NRL in 2 weeks.

I think his background will only make him realise the opportunity he's got even more. I mean look what we've seen every time he has put on our jersey? I don't think he's taking the opportunity for granted.

I agree with Ink , but should we now punish the team by not picking him ??

Tell him he can play this game but he doesn't get the win bonus if they win

Find out if his motives are team orientated or not

No excuse turning up late for work. Sets a poor example for the rest of the team if he gets away with it unpunished as well.

True , but thousands do it every day with little or no consequences

You cant rock 30 minutes late to a game without action.

It is not a hanging offence, but he should be held responsible, do his penance and not let it happen again.

I hope all of our players don't turn up 35 minutes late for a game!!! But hang on, it's ok because thousands of people do it. Hehehe

I would hope that all players realize how blessed they are to be able earn large amounts of money doing something they love

Funny you say that, because in business where employees are being paid equivalent money there are consequences for being late… Whether it is a large amount of overtime or a pay dock, there are still consequences... In this case his consequence was missing a game.

So as mentioned above what was the disciplinary action taken ? was it monetary or time of the park I would of thought that the money would be the best option atm.
