George Rose

It'll kind of depend on what they want him for. If he is simply an impact forward, then you could rotate him with Woods who is more your grinding type prop & get quite a useful contribution. Rose could go on when Galloway goes off to give the Tigers that continual 'big guy' prop at all times. Or you could start both of them & get a roll-on early & interchange them after 15-20 minutes for guys like Woods & Groat.

So long as Rose is not signed as a cure for what ails the Tigers- there is value there. At a reasonable cost, he would be worth an investment.

He'd slot in as a straight swap for Fifita IMO.

Fifita is only effective in short bursts and loses his effectiveness with the pill if he starts games. Too small a motor to be an effective big minute prop when he has to work in defense (not to say his defensive work has been stellar this year in comparison to last year.)

Rose would be asking for less than Fifita too I'd imagine, but as I said we have enough props for a change and Blair is interchangeable between the front and second row, unless he tells Sheens he wants to play on the wing and that would solve our 5-10 minute back on the bench problem.

who cares if he is a bit fat. he is a prop and a big aggressive one at that. he would be a good signing unless he wants too much $$$

with payten, gibbs and fifita going we need props! woods, begovich and groat could be good but they are young and we need some older and more experienced front rowers with them

why is it when a player is mentioned people always say he would be a good signing if he didnt want too much money … hed stay at manly if it wasnt about the money ....players never leave to take a pay cut so rule that one out ....he isnt fit enough for me ....rugby league has turned into the athletes game ,, not the skilled footballer anymore .....

Gee is he is only 34 years old. Parramatta might resign him yet with the rest of Dad's Army they signed at the end of last year
