Lets be real here, this is Phil Rothfield. He's a barrel of laughs the way he gets massacred on his blog by fans with hald a brain, and still thinks he has credibility when it comes to league.
Here are some of the clangers he has put across;
- He says Gibbs wouldn't make the Cronulla FG side. Gibbs would be a marquee player and captain for Cronulla!;
- He doesn't rate the Tigers;
- He doesn't rate Marshall, but he's the first one to carry on when he's on fire. I love watching Marshall take the Sharks apart every time they play them;
- He bags the NRL for not forcing clubs to move games to bigger venues, but sits there and praises traditionalism and playing at suburban grounds;
- He said Cronulla would make the 8 this year;
- He has said for the last two years that Price and Seventycentsalitre are pensioners only to watch them dominate guys 10 years younger than them;
- He says that Gidley should still be playing Origin;
- He says Paul Gallen should be the first man picked for NSW;
- He says Ennis is better than Farah;
- He's "predicted" 3-0 victories to NSW for the last two series and is already calling this years 3-blot to the Roaches;
- He says Ricky Stuart is a great coach;
- He says Brian Smith is a s**t coach (Hasn't won a premiership but rebuilds clubs and gets a lot of them to the grand final, and doesn't need anyone to hold his hand unlike one Richard Stuart);
- He says he knows the game better than Gould;
- He attacks Gould for bagging the administration, and then gets on his blogs and criticises the NRL to high heaven.
The only thing he really has said that has any truth to it is that the Dragons would choke last year, which they did. But even a broken clock is right twice a day.
