Gibbs

"Best defensive prop in the country" /quote, bug

He is truly amazing ever since he has kicked all the dumb crap out of his game.
He is smart, he is tough and he hits hard.

One thing is his ability to gain metres, I have NFI why stats say he gains such less metres.
Everytime he bends the line, great leg drive and quick PTB.
I just don't believe the stars.

Tonights stats are way wrong. Watch the replay. After ten minutes he already cracks 40 metres.

not just tonights,
hardly a game where he makes more than 100.
maybe he goes sideways a lot in his tackles? IDK.
he SEEMS to make a lot of metres when watching live,
but stats dont think so 😕

just keep playing this way for remainder of season, and leave wests-tigers knowing that you gave it your best.

Tonights performance by both starting props provided a great example for the young guys coming through.

Wow! I have been a gibbs basher for a long time and would have been happy to hear he was leaving last season, but his whole attitude has changed, Im truly sad he is leaving, hes a true tiger!

Great effort once again by Gibbs. A tough seasoned FG forward. Will be a loss though I like the signs of Groat & Woods.

This thread tells me there are some people who have no idea about footy. Gibbs was instrumental defensively last season in getting us as far as we got. The guy is going to be a huge loss. Someone will need to step up to cover him. Last night was the usual game from a true clubman.

Gibbs had a great game and I feel his loss to the club is definitely in defense. Watch him closely. He doesn't miss many and he is one of the best low tackle props in the game. He wraps up even the biggest players around the legs and stops them dead in their tracks.

You can't run without legs and its no co-incidence that our defense has improved dramatically in the middle of the ruck with Gibbs on the field.

Defensively he has always been good. But this was his best attacking game for some time although since signing for the Sharks I think he has lifted his energy when carrying the ball.

Hope Gibbs starts in the second row this week With Woods and Keefy up front and Fulton on bench Really stick it to em hard up front and lay the platform for Robbie 1 and 2 and Benji to weave some magic

I am really sorry to see Gibbs go as for the last 2 years he has played really well & cut out the crap in his game, He really is a Tigers man & i wish he was staying & i wish him all the best.

Let's not mince words, it's a disgrace he had to leave. He debuted at Orana Park when he was 6 years old !!!!

The fact they asked him to leave is a disgrace.

Too bad he hit career best form **AFTER** he signed with the Sharks…In saying that I wish we kept him!!

You cant keep them all, and Gibbs is better off, he got a much increased contract, we were able to keep a number of other players in his place.

If had to let go a number of juniors and kept Gibbs we would be saying how can we let Woods, Tedesco, Groat and NOafluma go, we are idiots blah, blah blah

Blair will be an excellent signing as well.

Gibbs will be missed, he has been good for the tigers for along time, but we have to move forward
