Give John grant a game

Has a reserve grader ever had so many threads started about him in this place?

Has anyone seen him play? And YouTube highlights don't count.

Well he was a first grade player and has been put into reserve grade by someone. So technically he is a reserve grader, however.

Do you think that highlights made about a players capabilities are made up by someone?

You had better have a talk with Everingham.

To answer your first question Hybrid , It depends whether you mean reserve grade quality players or reserve grade players

A couple of reserve grade quality players have had many threads about them

Hasn't Grant missed a few games with injury?
Maybe use a few more runs before he is ready but hope he gets there soon - big and fast is what we need.
As for Everingham - he still wouldn't get in our top squad.

Why don't we give John grant he scored heaps of tries when he played union and his defense was good. He is the fastest player in the nrl and he is 105kg he would be a weapon

He is entitled his opinion. John grant maybe unproven at Nrl level, but he'll never prove it unless given a go. Whether he is ready or not is yet to be seen

I agree LaT. Can't understand all the Lote hate on here. His first 2 games back have been ok - at least he runs the ball with some guts. He hasn't played a lot of football in the past 12 months, give the guy a chance to get back to full fitness.

One of the imponderables is why Tuquiri didnt play FB from the outset in 2010\. Was very good under the high ball at the time, solid in defence and was particularly good on the kick return. Understood he was signed to play in that position

FWIW…Sheens has mentioned once or twice he reckons Lote wouldnt have the puff to play fullback.
Gettin old.

Ive seen loads of him, he is a very gifted footballer.

Once he becomes accustomed to the game, he will do very well.

Missing this footy early in the year is obviously hurting his development.

They gave him big wraps when they signed him !!!!. I think that's why every one is so excited to give him a go.Couldn't hurt to throw him into the mix his highlights on YouTube are more than impressive!!!!.Speed is what we need

I have seen him play a number of times, and I have been impressed. However, he is nowhere near ready for 1st grade. Anyone who thinks he is ready for 1st grade does not know anything about football, or is blind and is having the game described to them by the guide dog, who knows nothing about football.

I'm annoyed by this conversation as it has been raised a number of time by people who obviously have not seen him play. He is nowhere near ready. Hopefully by the end of the year he may be getting close, as long as he doesnt miss too many more games.

But we also need someone who is solid in defence, he is far from this. He has spent every game with someone telling him where to stand. He has very little idea of what to do positionally. The people calling for him to play fullback are just asking for serious problems, he hasnt learnt the positional play for the wing yet.

Maybe we could start a chant "Sung to the tune of Give Peace a Chance " by John Lennon

"All we are saying , is give Grant a chance"

Oh brother , close this thread

I'm not sure what big wraps your referring to and who gave them to him. The only wraps i've seen have been from a minority of Tigers fans hyperventilating over a Youtube video
