As exciting as it is…the minute the field goal goes over, the excitement ends abruptly. Extra-time would be a much better spectacle.

I'm guessing he is referring to the idea that GP is just a kickathon ala AFL. No skill whatsoever involved.

I agree I don't want it scrapped because Tigers are no good, I want it scrapped because I no longer like how it plays out. I don't enjoy it with Tigers playing, I don't enjoy it when Tigers aren't playing.

I don't like seeing teams deadlocked at 80 mins being separated by a 40-m FG at 81 minutes.

I'd like to see most teams separated by 1point on the ladder too. …. As others have stated the footy from 80 min onwards just sucks

What I see as the trouble with GP is for 80 mins they play Rugby League. In GP it is just a field-goal-a-thon. GP is just not Rugby League.

We have been cursed ever since Todd Payten have away a penalty to decide the 1st GP game decided by penalty goal instead of a FG..

Right through to Rochow ..Penalty Broncos..

I was actually introduced because of Origin and a drawn series and Queensland had a big soooky la la..

Yes that is 100% correct. It is akin to AFL playing golden point with no goal kicking involved , just barging between the goal posts to win the golden Points,

I realise that this is a big lure being dragged across the water, but I'll bite. It was NSW that sooked, as Qld retained the shield with a draw after winning the series the year prior.

They should poll all members from on clubs about this and go with what they want. Let the fans decide if it goes or stays.

I personally don't like Golden Point. Not because we suck at it but because both teams deserve to walk away with a point if the scores are level after 80.

If they insist on continuing with it, I'd like to see the points system revised. I think 3 points for a win in 80 minutes, 2 points for golden point win, 1 point for a golden point loss and 0 points for a loss in 80 minutes.

If we are going to keep GP then:
Win - 4
GP win - 3
Draw - 2
GP loss - 1
Loss - 0
