Halfback options?

I'd go after Hodgkinson as he will come cheap considering the run of bad luck he has had, and the fact the Dogs might be struggling with upgrades early next year for players like Reynolds & Keating.

Then there is Rangi Chase who is rumored to be wanting to return to OZ?

I would definately go after Hodgkinson Watto…..could be a bargain buy for a halfback that turns out great. It wasnt long ago that he was being mentioned as a possible NSW half. While i dont think he's quite as good as first expected, i do think he could be very handy

Exactly right, I would rate Manly's halves much higher than our own. Guess Sheens doesn't see what other people see in Chisholm.

I would rate Manly's forward pack much higher than ours.Thats half the quality of a halfback right there.

My only concern with Hodgkinson would be if you can't look good behind the Bulldogs pack , you are sure as hell not going to look good behind the Tigers pack

Why would we want to buy a halfback when we have the best in the NYC, State of Origin halfback, best kicker in the NYC etc.

His name is Jacob Miller.

NYC success does not necessarily relate to NRL success.
They obviously don't think he can handle it on a regular basis yet - and his form in NYC is not that consistent.
Plenty of talk about Chisholm too - and he can't crack a spot in reggies.

I won't be budging from my position on this matter. Fact is we have Anasta and Sironen available and assuming both are fit for selection, Marshall will be playing 7\. Sheens 2013 signings of Anasta and Pettybourne, along with Bodene Thompson basically means this is unfortunately our best fit. Unless of course we want to do what we've done this year and have players languishing in state cup. I don't agree with it but it is what it is.

Jacob Millers comment after being asked if he will play first grade next year…....

@moniquen97 @jontag23 I would need to learn how to play centre or wing for that to be possible

Benji Marshall is and will be our halfback next year. If he goes down injured then miller might get a run . We won't be buying a halfback. A couple of props and centre are what we need

Benji was brilliant this year at seven, so why not give him another go, it took Sheens nearly three years to work out Johny Morris was not the next Cooper Cronk. Their is some good news young Brooks will be a standout in a few years and by than we will have a new coach
