Halfback options?

We have Dane Chisholm, Jacob Millar and we need to give them time to get used to the play but Sheenious will never let players play in their best positions

Lets give them a go and look at Anasta and Siro Jnr next year

Heard Miller was off to dragons?

Chisholm is alright, won't handle NRL for a couple years, we need someone next year or we can expect another disappointing outcome.

nothing will change..Sheens always rates Marshall as a half and so did his sidekick Simmons. The previous occasion where Marshall played half and was finally returned to 5/8 by Sheens, both he and Simmons said Marshall was a half and would play there eventually.

nothing will change…..

I wish they would buy a low-profile traditional half (Chad Townsend?) and let Benji play where he used to be one of the world's best. He could still create tries when we had Lui at half, he doesn't need the ball always in his hand - he demands it enough. I just look at the way Jeff Robson has transformed Carney's game for Cronulla (and although I never rated Robson, he was the half that took Paramatta to a GF so he is not bad, by any means). Sam Williams returns to Canberra, and they go on a six game streak, and McCrone doesn't have to do everything.

But, I know it won't happen.

Maybe roycey is actually coming back to play rather than coach.
Then supercoach could move Robbie to 6 so he could keep Benji at 7.
You know it makes sense…

Rangi Chase is looking to move… He would be right up there as a Sheens Recruit???

If sheens thought he was any good he would of kept him the first time

Gaskell seems to be out of favour especially since Hohaia struck some form. Depending on what Nathan Brown's plans are, Gaskell might be available. I've seen him a few times and he's different enough from Benji to make a good combo - for a start, if he can't see a magic play, he just runs straight and hard.

We need a halfback more than anything else. Rather - we need to decide on a halfback and stick with him.
The halfback needs to direct traffic and I think we all realize by now that as good as Benji is he just doesn't do this. Benji's best days where when he wasn't the focal point and there wasn't as much pressure on him to finish every set.

I would most like to see Benji return to 5/8 and for us to purchase a solid halfback or give Miller a fair crack. I don't see Anasta as a viable playmaking option would be loathe if we lined up in 2013 with him inside Benji. I would much rather have him playing as a versatile ball-playing forward like Mateo or Bird who can fill in the gap at 5/8 if need be. I really fail to see how anyone would want Anasta as a first-choice 5/8.

I don't know where I'd play Siro, but I wouldn't want to just move Benji away from 6 to accommodate him.
Having said that, if Benji does start the year at 7 with Siro at 6 then at least I hope we stick with it. This chopping and changing crap will never generate consistency or success.

Just heard a whisper that we've opened negotiations with Clint Eastwoods chair.
Club officials are said to have been very impressed by the slightly built playmakers composure under intense pressure during the recent Republican brouhaha. And see him as a perfect foil for enigmatic five eight Benji Marshall.

It would be a huge coup for the Tigers and it is envisaged that CEC would quickly join other triple bunger initialed legends of the game SBW, SKD, BMM, LOL …etc

Remember where you heard it first!

Benji at half, Sironen at five eight this combo one us 4 from 5 until injury struck. Put anasta in the 13 and have him mentor Sironen all yr as well as taking on the kicking game giving us 4 options. Tedesco at fullback Moltzen in 14

Yes, a half gets hurt, he puts a center there, replaces the center with a fullback, replaces the fullback with a winger, puts a backrower in the wingers spot….it all comes back to Sheens and his braindead OTT selections.

If he just replaced a half for an injured half, a f/back for an injured f/back...wing 4 wing....but oh no....hes too clever, he needs to show everyone how smart he is....thing is, hes not smart, hes past it

innsaneink you hit the nail on the head , that's what ive been saying all year . Why weaken 3 positions, to try and strengthen 1 .
