It looks like Balmain will be a little bit outclassed by a very good Eels team, but there is definitely some talent within this Balmain team.
They have a lot of willing forwards and I’m particularly impressed with 5/8 Matteo and fullback Thomas Aroyan.
Their right edge defence was a problem.

Balmains outside backs just came compete with Parra. Our are jo frills small tryers, they have size pace and skill that we can't match.
Our spine has been poor, hooker Levi has been very poor. Slow service and nearly always giving the ball to the wrong player.
Even at the end Parra dropped the ball and one of our dumbasses runs up and pushes their player to the ground. Absolutely moronic crap to concede a penalty like that. He'd be given a week's suspension by me if I were coach

They matched a very good team for a large portion of the game.
If they continue to play with that commitment they will win their fair share of games.
The Eels lock Hayden Bell is as good as any young forward I’ve seen play Harold Matthews, looks an exceptional talent and they minimised his danger for a large part of the game.

He was excellent

But again my point is we just accept that Parra have these fantastic teams and are much better than us. We should be as good as them but talent wise we're not even close. Why is that acceptable?

I reckon if we combined the best of Wests Magpies and Balmain Harold Matthews teams we would be better than them.

Yet another terrible performance from Wests Matt's team. They're just a really dumb footy side. Lacking in skill and talent, very poorly coached.

Embarrassing. Finau at prop about the only player with potential, this squad is a waste of time. With all the supposedly good juniors in the south west, how on earth do we have such a weak squad?!

But I though both our props went well, Kingston at left centre is a handful, the young Isdale at fullback is small but elusive, the goal kicking back rower worked hard on the left and Monson Hopoate showed something despite having limited involvement.

I like the look of the tall blonde right second rower, he is the goal kicker I think ?
He got whacked and dropped a ball yesterday, but he is very willing, looks to have good mobility for a bigger lad and I think he shows plenty of potential.
Plenty of the forwards go after contact and although he didn’t have his best day yesterday, I agree young Isdale is lightning quick off the mark and has match winning qualities.
Kingston at left centre looks decent with no real weaknesses in his game, but I think Monson Hopoate is our long term prospect, a bit of Makasini about him. He’s a terrible defender at the moment, but is very big and fast, a real good prospect with some fine tuning.
Jaxon Speechley has been missing for the last 2 games, he’s a real hard nosed lock/hooker who I’m seeing plenty of NRL qualities in at a young age.
