Liddle is the brett papworth or bruce reid of hookers he isna fine player but not durable and injury prone. if he stays on the field a full season then he may be great but dont think we can risk it.
If we do lose Harry (dont think we will) then we tey and hold Simpkin and blood him with Walters and let Liddle take up a position at the dogs.
Dogs will come hard for Harry now that McCullough is injured again.

We risked it with Benji.

Benji had already shown he was a once in a generation player and led the club to a premiership in the 1st 2 years of his career despite suffering injuries. Liddle made his 1st grade debut 4 years ago and has been hardly seen. It does your argument a disservice to compare the 2 players.

Melbourne Storm outside back Paul Momirovski will have surgery on a torn tendon in his finger this evening and is expected to miss up to 12 weeks of NRL action.

Momirovski sustained the injury late in Storm’s win against Brisbane on Friday night and visited a specialist this morning to determine the severity of the injury.

Cameron will play on for another year so Grant will be able to get out of the contract. Dogs will offer 1mill for 10 years to try to get him across.

It does everyone a disservice to keep saying he is injury prone.

As far as I can recall he has not suffered the same injury in the same place whilst playing for us.

He has played 38 games in 4 years.

No I am trying to be realistic Tony.

I think he was kicked off too young, some get away with it some don't. Dead set unlucky
that Talau took his knee out against Manly. I think he'll go okey now, he has built himself
up alot since that last injury.

SG that you?

I hope so, we need some excitement on the suggested sign ups thread.

I’d match it. His style of play is already working here, and he seems to fit in well with what Madge is doing

As some on here say Jennings is hopeless Liddle is injury prone
it is a forum for opinions it is good to allow different views it adds to discussion.
Hope i am proven wrong about Liddle being injury prone Russ

I hope your right Russ...I like the way Liddle plays ,but everytime I get confident about the guy being our stable hooker and dummy half,he gets sidelined again...this time I hope he stays on the paddock because the NRL is a tough gig and I fear Liddle will not reach his potential in the game through being on the sideline every few weeks...I would hate to see something like what happened to Dwyer, happen to Liddle, nobody deserves that fate...I pray he can prove to us and the WTs how good he is for a long period of time and maybe help us win a premiership,he does deserve that...

McCullough has a year left on his broncos contract @$600k. He was loaned to the knights for this year only. They were hoping someone would sign him up for next year. With a serious injury he just suffered , broncos might be stuck with him.

Was watching a recent interview with an NRL physio. He said that people frequently misapply the term "injury prone".

He said that players are injury prone if they keep suffering the same injury, particularly if there is no contact involved; eg, they keep tearing their hammy.

If a player suffers a number of different contact injuries then that does not constitute "injury prone".

Based on the physio's comments, Liddle's injuries are just bad luck.

Thanks.... Don't know why people can't see this.
Injuries are an occupational hazard for NRL players.
He's havin a bad run...
