Brooks is playing second fiddle to Grant imo, Grant is leading this team, Brooks isn't, he's watching Grant.

Notice how Brooks only comes into play if Grant takes off, other than that Brooks is quiet as a Mouse, also him and Benji are masters at kicking into legs of opposition players

Sack grant

So you work in WT head office, Tony ?

Kind of scary that a kid who has hardly played at the Storm...can come to us and:

1. Be our best player within weeks
2. Be our smartest player by a mile.
3. Be the only one not rattled under pressure and take the correct options.

Might as well

Sounds like naughty Harry is dominating and over calling Brooks.
Just like Farah, Marshall and every other player who played in the spine.
Think I’d rather be keeping Grant long term if I that was at all possible.

16 rounds to go - I'm sure we can knock that professionalism and exuberance out of the kid in that time. We will have him looking more like a WT player by seasons end. Someone Melbourne wouldn't touch.

Do we waste a replacement bringing him back on ?

Thinking plays 0-30 min mark
And come back on for 60-80th minute

I love the general sentiment over a good WT player. As soon as we have one, it's:
- How long until he leaves?
- How long until we infect him with mediocre-itis?

I'd be happy to offer Harry the captaincy next year if he were to stay. Could even be a carrot to keep him.

I know yesterday he said he was going back to the storm, but what else was he going to say.

I have no idea how this plays out, I'm pretty sure Harry doesn't either, but for obvious reasons I want him to stay.

I hope the club does a post interview if he doesn't stay ...this club could learn so much from constructive criticism

i think if Harry is going back and we are out 9f finals contention and say Liddle or Simpkin is fit we sit Harry down and play one of Liddle or Simpkin.
We do not need to give storm a further leg up for next year if we cant make it this year e.g. 3 or 4 games left. We need to look at 2021 if that is the case

I would honestly offer grant 800k to stay with us. I know it wont happen since he said himself he is going back but that would be my offer, I know its overs but he would fix our hooker problem for a long time.

I did notice he threw in an "at this stage". 🙂

We knew when we got him that he would most likely be heading back there. You would think madge would probably give liddle and simpkin some time off the bench as the season progresses

Anything can and will happen in this game.

He will go back to Melbourne at the end of the year. He'll probably then sit down with Bellyache and get the skinny on what is to happen next year. Smith plays on, he may then enact his release and Wests may sign him (assuming he doesn't get scooped by Easts to replace an ageing Jake Friend.)

He's kept to his word in returning to Melbourne, and he's been able to move on.

Players throw out these open ended statements all the time, they are managed to do so.

He won't be a Tiger next year, I'd bet vital parts of my anatomy on it.

Still a lot that can happen between now and then, however his contractual obligations have him at the storm next year. Not sure why people were surprised when he said that

It’d be the same if Moms were asked that question, he’d say the Tigers next year.

I keep saying it, but if Harry wants to stay, it will all get worked out. That said, atm I'm not sure he would. Gotta make the finals for any hope imo
