HARRY WATCH DAY 6

FAMILY MOVE POINTS TO SMITH FUTURE
In the latest development in the Cameron Smith saga, his kids have moved to a school on the Gold Coast next term in perhaps the clearest sign yet that he won't be at the Storm in 2021.

That leaves his options as a cameo final season with either the Broncos or Titans, or retirement, which as I wrote last week, looms as his most likely choice.

While you are a long time retired and Smith may be tempted to have one final season, a lucrative career in the media and as a coaching consultant awaits - and he seems destined to head down that path.

Or it could mean that Smith sees a similar situation NRL wise next season ....or playing for Qld ....could be a few situations ...but I reckon he will be a Bronco with the plan for him to be an NRL coach in 2023

Probably what's delaying it. If he knew Melbourne would be on sunshine coast next year he probably plays on for Melbourne.

Seems he's committed to qld for next year

How the hell has Harry Grant not been picked for Queensland? They are garbage at the moment. He is so far above Hunt, Mahoney and Friend.

Really don’t get the hype around Mahoney. Haven’t watched a huge amount of Eels, but seems pretty average and one dimensional. Could be wrong though

Mahoney is a tackling machine but that’s about it. Apart from Harry, their options at #9 are all duds...I’d say he will likely get picked (Grant)

Interesting Curtis Scott telling Grant to stay with Tigers, but it’s probably just because he has dirt on the storms 😂

He shows the odd flash of brilliance, but for the most part he’s pretty meat and potatoes.

A young looking fella under the account Riley_Pascoe also quoted as commenting “🤞[fingers crossed] you play next year with us too”

I can see the Broncos miraculously clearing players and finding room for Harry at money he can't refuse.
He would go a long way to fixing their problems... and he is a Queenslander.

I don't think Harry would be that silly to go to the Broncos with the mess they are in ATM, maybe in a few years if Kev can sort the mess out.

One B Marshall on 360 Saying Harry is a "generational" player to build your club around. Best junior he had ever seen

Didnt' seem optimistic on him been at the tigers however

Benji wasn't optimistic about anything imo.

That carry on after he scored that try the other day - did me.

I swear every player journos ask Benji about is “the best” at something.

Talau was the best junior he’d seen at the start of the year, Milne the best flick pass, and Schuster the best debut.

Maybe his wife and kids don't want to be in lockdown another year

Who's to say Melbourne still wont be playing out of the Sunshine Coast..

After all Melbourne that's in Queensland..

Mahoney is so average I reckon if Harry was in that Parra side they would go pretty close this year. Friend is a average hooker too but they could play Friend and Harry off the bench perhaps.
if they don't pick Harry then it is just like not picking Matterson when he was a tiger, e g. go to a bigger club you get picked in rep teams

Benji on 360 said you can tell Harry comes from a good system, he's very professional

Not a great reflection on the WT system

Maybe you’ll cut the players some slack. Because it wasn’t the Qld hooker they overlooked to give the award to Nofoaluma.
